you know, I've always like Porter from the Raiders and have seen him tear up our backfield a few times. I think he's being held down in the Raiders offense much like Moss was. I think he would be awesome in Denver, especially with a good QB holding him up like Cuter

This reminds me, I was playing a madden franchise and at the end of season1 I went for Gross and Scott in FA...they both went to the Bengals. Hm.

Gross and Scott will both receive huge deals. We couldn't afford one of them. Porter's value is probably a little much for us, and even Davis really improved his stock this year. I don't know if any of those FA signings, save maybe Davis could work.
Superintendent Chalmers: "Thank the Lord"? That sounded like a prayer. A prayer in a public school. God has no place within these walls, just like facts don't have a place within an organized religion."

If Denver drafts a 1st round running back, I'll eat my hat.

My adopted Bronco is Chris Kuper. Huzzah!

With the retirement of Lepsis/Smith Release or trade Walker wouldnt there be sufficient cap space to look at one of these lineman?

How much can Davis have improved his stock interms of salary he was a great kickreturner however had 37 receptions and 137 in total in 8 seasons.
He'd be a great addition to special teams for us and add some depth to the WR position.

Porter however had 44 receptions last season with 1 reception in the previous season. He does have the ability to be good but Oakland is Oakland they stink. I believe he'd come at a fair price and play at a higher level than what we are paying him.

The Panthers are preparing a lucrative deal for Gross. They cut Dan Morgan and are looking at possibly Mike Rucker as well to make room for him.

jerry porter. yes. oh dear god yes. he can stretch the field. hell come cheaper than people think. escpecially if he can be on a team that consistantly beats oakland. he would be a great number two in denver. andre davis. yes. this would be awesome. i dont think grosse will be tagged. so he can ome in and play left. he would protect cutler better than harris. and then bring in mike wahle instead of scott. kuper is good but... he still needs time. i am for shaun rodgers. and more than likely i see denver trading for him. i say denver waits to see if henry pans out and tries to get a good dt and olb to replace gold as hell get traded.

yea, jerry porter has been kind of sliding under the radar, and would fit great here in Denver, I would look at allen fanaca also though, and forget andre davis, he would end up being buried on the depth chart behind stokley.

Fanaca would probly command a big contract and considering his age i dont think its worth it for us. If we arnt able to get Gross then i say we have to look at either of the Colts guards both are 26 and have a good 5 6 years ahead of them. They wont command the money Fanaca will get but it will be reasonable considering we have Lepsis money on the table.

Andre Davis was a KR/PR solution as well as adding depth if we dont draft a WR because theres too many holes on defence.
