  • T. Green and Marty Booker released today Should Shanny Capitilize?

    T. Green and Marty Booker were released today from the Dolphins. Shanny should keep close. This could be a good replacement for J. Walker. Booker is a pretty solid WR. Only problem I don't think Trent will bench anywhere.

After the hits Trent has taken over the past few seasons, I think his brain is scrambled. I like Trent Green, but no thanks, no need for a guy like him.

And as for Booker, I would have to pass on him as well, we need to build young WR's, not try to re-circulate old ones.

I would pass on Booker, and I think Trent Green just needs to call it quits.

                Careful there.

With the Javon situation the way it is, I tend to agree bringing in a vet of some sorts may be the way to go for this upcoming season. Booker may not be the answer, but I like the idea of some experience at WR.

And in the mean time, we start grooming a youngster.

Booker is not anywhere close to Javon's talent level. Look at Javon's stats from 2004 and 2006 and you'll see why. You can't compare their stats from this season until you realize that Javon was playing hurt.

                    Two others whacked by Parcells

The Dolphins also released Tackle L.J. Shelton and Tackle Keith Traylor, both whom were starters. I agree that the Broncos should not load up on cast-aways, but ay least give some consideration as to if there is a good fit with any of these guys.

Javon was injured for the majority of the season! way to compare... JW has much more talent - are you making an argument for a WR who isnt even worth keeping by the freakin Miami Dolphins?!?!

lol, Booker played almost double the games Walker played and still stunk it up.

NOOOOOOOOO Trent Green is horrible and Marty Booker is at best a 4th wide receiver.

I'm not defending Booker, just questioning your analytical skills on display right here...

8 games played by Walker to 15 games played by Booker equates to roughly 0.53. Scale Booker's reception total accordingly, and you get 26-27 (i.e. Javon's). Do likewise with the yardage total, and Javon could be expected to amass 297 yards.

So, while Booker's totals certainly do not represent WR production that I would jump for joy over, I see it as no worse than Javon's. So I'm curious to know how you would consider this "stinking it up"?

sbutk: i can see why Denver is taking TO's right now [trailing by 7, with 30 seconds left in the half]. but why Oakland???
