  • The Latest and Greatest Mock Draft!

    Mock Draft
    1. Kenny Phillips S – some reason his stock has fallen, which is good for us because he might still be around at #12. He’s a stud and can learn under one of the games best.
    2. Dre Moore DT – Strong and quick for his size, I’d rather have Pat Sims but Moore might make a more immediate impact.
2b. (package Javon and Foxworth for a late 2nd) Earl Bennett WR – reunite him with Jay! Fast, good size, excellent chemistry with QB
4a. Titus Brown OLB – replaces Webster this year hopefully
4b. Duane Brown OT – adds depth and competition to Oline, great zone blocker
5a. Peyton Hillis FB – finally a real fullback!
5b. Mike Dragosavich P – as long as he’s ephedra free and good to our taxi drivers, he’ll be around for awhile
7a. Tony Brinkhaus C – another project from Minnesota, we should keep him like we should’ve kept Eslinger
7b. BenJarvus Green Ellis RB – big, fast, good potential

This way we spread out our picks to fill holes and add depth at almost every need position. (If Travis Henry stays, RB is not a need position) The only person we’re missing is Jordan Dizon who I think would be an impact on special teams. Hmm… Maybe we can squeeze another 5th rounder out of someone.

I like it, I only wish we could fit a RB in there since this draft is sooo loaded with RB talent. Good work though.

Next time dont name it the "greatest" mock because all you will get is some real heat... so ready for it here it comes.

First off at 12th spot Phillips would be a reach he may even grade out to be at the bottom of the 1st round.

Dre Moore seems like a possiblity
The trade your asking is unrealistic So its either Earl or Moore. Earl will win out because of Cutler wanting his buddy in Denver. Shanahan will ablidge.

Vorbora is a better OLB prospect.

I think I can live with Brown well maybe..

we dont use FB's so Hills will most likely not be drafted by us.

Too high for a Punter- no thanks

your 7th picks... How about a big fat NO.

Guess this is another draft that puts a ban-aid at the RB situation for another year. Yeah 1000 yards is good but 1000 yards and 7 TD's and a rank 20th scoring offense again for 3 years in the row will spell Shanahan's ending as a Bronco.

Yup this draft would be perfect if Shanahan is going to be fired so next time please read other post and learn how to value personnel instead of playing favoritism. It would save headaches for both of us

McDaniles Career as a failure of a Head Coach is being fulfilled. Termination of McFailure has happen.

Rejoice Bronco Fans we have taken our team back, but at a heavy cost.

There is no way Phillips is worth the #12 right now. The latest information appears to be late first round or even into the second round. Unless he grades out really well at the combine he might even be available with our second pick.

Thats why I'm in favor of trading down and picking up extra picks. Couldnt hurt.

Pretty good. I would change Kenny Phillips to Keith Rivers and Titus Brown to a safety though.

                I agree with that.

And its real unlikely that Phillips falls out of the first round altogether. Some one will panic like the broncos did last year and grab him before he could fall out of the first.

once the combine is over phillips will most likely be a top 15 selection.

So I take it your a pro scout with that kind of answer?

Since you aren't, this post is all your opinion of stuff and you probably haven't even seen most of these players play. You apparently have no clue how to value personell either because Shannahan doesn't draft like you are saying. You reading a couple of other poster's posts, does not make you smarter than the original poster.

First off, there hasn't been a combine yet so you and I (and everyone else) have no clue about where people will be graded. I guess if this was your first draft, you would think the combine doesn't matter.

Phillips will be a top 15 pick because of his measurables. Unless he takes an injury before the combine, he will be back to his pre-senior bowl projection. I'm not even really sure as to why he has fallen in the last couple of weeks. People didn't talk about him falling during the time that he was actually playing though. Also, since when is safety not a need and not valuable? Have you seen some defenses, such as the Colts, that lose and then get back a good safety? It is a completely different defense whenever it happens.

With the second round pick, I would agree that the trade is unrealistic along with most every one that is named on these boards. Other than that, since when has Shanny ever drafted a player to please another player on the team? I highly doubt that happens. If they like the receiver, and he is the best option where we pick, then he will get picked. Cutler has no influence or say on the matter.

The rest of your post is strictly opinionated statements. I find it funny that your last 2 paragraphs try to act as though you are smart and the original poster knows nothing. It is obvious that you do not know any more than he does.

I have one thing to say about a RB on the first day. We have a TON of money being spent at the RB position right now and we have a lot of them. When in the history of Mike Shannahan have we ever spent that much on RB's? Why is it that people think we are getting a top one? Unless Travis Henry is gone by the draft or Shannahan sees the next TD, it is very unlikely that we get a RB before round 4.

Not bad, but I think its a way better chance to get another 2nd round pick by trading down in the 1st than it is by trading walker and foxworth, we might be able to get both of dallas's 1st round picks if we trade down with them,(as long as its not for Mcfadden). but phillips in the 1st after we drop back is a good pick, and the late OL I like.

If this is true, it is a case of scouts thinking too much...just like they did with Ed Reed. Phillips is a straight playa...so he had a mediocre Jr. year; so did the entire Hurricane team that was recovering from the turmoil surrounding the program. Randy Shannon had an incredible job to do just to turn around the culture that had set in on the program.

Bottom Line, I am a Hurricane alum, watch all their games, and I would be very suprised if Kenny Phillips was not a Pro Bowl player in the NFL. He is that talented.

To me, Phillips is defintely a Top 15 pick, and I have no doubt, like Brandon Meriweather, he will be on the rise after the Combine, where his incredible athleticism will be on dislplay, and without the 'character issue' stigma Merriweather had...and I can tell you this, Phillips is a much better player than Brandon Meriweather.

I would be thrilled with Phillips as the #12 pick, especially if Lynch comes back and has a year to tutor him.

I look at Phillips the same as Steve Atwater who was thought to be a 'reach' where we took him, and not as good a prospect as Louis Oliver, but he turned out to be great and every bit worth the selection.

I am a big Kenny Phillips fan, and I think he is going to be a great pro, and really is one of the few that has true Pro Bowl potential of any of the so-called first round prospects.

not a bad draft, however i would take dizon or vorbora before titus brown , and i think the trade is very unlikely, not to many teams will want both, perhaps fox for a 4th and javon for a future pick, but unless something happens this month javon is being realesed before march 1st, also i agree with hills not being a target, its just not shannys style...doesnt mean it wont happen but histroy is not on the side of us taking hills. interesting picks at 7

Solid mock and very, what's the popular sayings in here UNMADDENLIKE, I think Phillips might be a bit of a reach and I would rather see a RB in the 1st and maybe DaJuan Morgan or Jamar Adams later, but overrall good effort!

I think people are giving you a hard time for Kenny Philips at #12. I don't think that is much of a reach...I think we'd be lucky if he's still available there.

I won't change my mind on him till the combine and his performance drops there.
