  • Desean Jackson!!!!!

Broncos need to trade back a couple spots with the bears and pick up Desean Jackson while picking up a 3rd round pick (which we dont have one by the way). I just know Shanny is going to draft Desean Jackson. He has to put as many weapons around Cutler as possible and nothing would be better than having Marshall Jackson and Stokely. His weight is only 170 but id ont think that matters. He rarely takes big hits, hes never been injury prone, you just cant hold this guy down in the open field. underrated route runner but can improve. Bottom line Jackson is deadly and Broncos havent had this kind of break away play maker since Portis was breakin 40 plus yarders. Jackson and Marshall=$$$$$$

Just watch if you havent seen this before

I could live with Jackson... Wouldn't be stoked about it though. He looks tiny... I wonder if he could handle playing in the NFL... I would actually prefer Eddie Royal.

Yeah i feel you i would not be mad if we took him at 12 either but since i know the Bears want Mendenhall so bad and Carolina does also. We could trade back a couple spots and still get jackson plus an extra pick. But i dont know how anybody could not be in love with Jackson comin to Denver to play with Marshall, Stokely, Cutler, Sheffler, Graham and try to pick up a back like Ray Rice in the 3rd would be an explosive offense. I just want My manz Cutler to have Peyton Manning type weapons his whole career.

Yeah im one that think size dont matter in certain cases at the wideout position. Calvin Johnson who came out last year. Talk about hype and hes 6'5? 4.3 40? And did hardly nothing. He was suppose to come right in and dominate. But he didnt. I think its either your gonna have great years or your not. Eddie royal gives you special teams but sky is not the limit for him at WR like It is for Jackson.

            Oh god no,

theres better alternatives to Jack of all Trades Jackson.

The guy is a short toothpick with a "me want" attitude.

cant run block, isnt suited to a run first offense. The guys is more of a natural slot receiver that can kick return.

We could get a DB in the 4th round that can be a KR and be added as depth to either the Safety or CB cores.

If you want a KR in the first so bad go after Jonathan Stewart who's an young RB and KR.

Hell forget Stewart just draft Mendenhall and have Selvin Young be our KR. a better pick at 12th.

Jackson is not worth a 1st round mark and only edge in due to the Number 1 WR talent being a big wonky as theres better number 2's and Slot Receivers deeper into the draft that are bigger and stronger then this midget.
McDaniles Career as a failure of a Head Coach is being fulfilled. Termination of McFailure has happen.

Rejoice Bronco Fans we have taken our team back, but at a heavy cost.

I just hope he's not another one of those receivers who we've dealt with in the past and really wanted to draft, and they end up a bust..... Lets just hope that he doesn't end up like one..... If not I would seriously be stoked, he could P/R K/R And play #2 receiver to Marshall, then Jay Cutler would have an amazing year and have so many weapons.
"I don't want people to look at me just as a return man because I'm a lot more than that and I plan to show that to people." - Eddie Royal

"I talked to coach Shanahan personally, and he was telling me we had some players around that weren't willing to work for success and now those players are gone and they're bringing in players who are willing to work. I'm one of them." - Boss Bailey

Sure... but Jackson is no Reggie Wayne. If we had a legit RB... just think how wide open Marsh will be. IF that extra man has to load the box... that leaves one less man in coverage. Shanny's offense is built around the running game... Play action... all that jazz.

I would rather have Mendenhall and Royal... to me that's better than Jackson and Rice.

I just think Jackson is a HUGE risk. He could get killed playing with the big boys. Jackson is 5"9' and 170.... Why not Devin Thomas instead?

If Shanny sees something in Jackson... I'll trust he's right.

I do agree that we should get Cutler a weapon... RB or WR. AND, since we must draft a DT in the early rounds... Shanny better pull the trigger or get another Day One pick!

So now people think Desean Jackson is going to be the same calibur player as Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison:brick: I wish I was smokin what you are. Jackson is a good player and will contribute to any team that takes him (until he gets hit by a NFL LB/S) but I don't think he is worth #12. Even after the combine the scouts and GMs were saying that due to his size he very well might have dieted his way right out of the first round completely. I would also prefer Eddie Royal. Now having said that if Jackson can run like he did at the combine with another 20-30 pounds on him then I might think differently but he made the conscious decision to lose the weight for a reason and I think it was because he is alot slower at playing weight than he wanted everyone to know. But please people lets not annoint him as a Hall of Famer yet!!!

We don't need a first round draft pick that would end up being a back up slot receiver. Draft Orlando Scandrick. Many of you would say who? He had the second fastest forty time (4.32) of all db's and is very good at punt returns. He will be available in the 3rd or fourth round and would provide depth if Foxworth should leave (ugh!)

                        HUH? What are you smoking???

Calvin Johnson had a solid rookie year: 48 catches for 756 yards and 4 TDs...

He basically missed 2 1/2 games b/c of an injury... and still posted decent numbers...

SO, if this monster got banged up... Just imagine would happen to little Desean when he gets drilled.

ALSO... Eddie Royal had a nobody throwing to him... He's a better WR than you think... He's also MUCH, MUCH stronger!

Lol @ Jackson is no Reggie Wayne, You or nobody else knew Reggie Wayne would even be the REGGIE WAYNE he is today. So basically its all opinion. Untill you can show me Jacksons a bust or average inthe NFl then heyyy. All i see is upside and the sky is the limit. I hope you all change your minds because Shanny aint taking no RB in the first round. Even the year he wanted to take one he didnt. Way to many backs in this draft to take one that high. And to adress calvin johnson.......Calvin Johnson was average. He did not live up to the hype everybody gave him. Just because your small dont mean you will be hurt. Anybody any size can be hurt. Eddie Royal is a average WR but he does play in a tougher conferance as far as defense goes, Ima FSU fan. Royal still has no upside at WR. Who in there right mind said Jackson dropped weight to runt he 40? Lol so your basically just told the people that Jackson is not fast during games.........He dropped weight to run a fast 40 time.........Have you ever seen Jackson play football?? Its a blurr for cameras when hes running. Ray Rice could probably have the same career in Denver has Mendenhall could. I mean Ray Rice has that Jones Drew body and running a 4.45 showed me he had a burst. Look at his stats compared to Mendenhall in college. Ray Rice blows Mendenhall out the door in everything. And will be available in the 3rd round. People are so high on Mendenhall because of his physical parts. They dont notice that this guy had one good year in college..............Couldnt beat out a guy who plays for the Saints and hes like the Saints 4th string back now. But we shall see

I agree that RICE will surprise a lot of people... He's tough and will be solid in the NFL. I also have no idea if Jackson will be a bust. He has scary potential... for sure. I just worry paying millions to a guy who might break when he gets popped!

AGAIN... If Shanny and DEN believe in him... so will I. Right now... I would go in another direction. BUT... if Jackson and Rice are drafted... I would be down with it.

HOWEVER... you sell Eddie Royal short. Just as you did with Calvin. I watched DET play like 5-6 games. Calvin was just as billed.

REMEMBER... when it comes to a #2 WR... Cutler is pulling for his buddy Earl.
