      YES!!!

lol, I am content to sit back and see what the Broncos FO can do this year. I think they are doing a good job so far of getting quality depth from Veterans. I think with the extra emphasis and scouting in the draft, that we will have another good draft ahead.

How many posts have we seen since FA started that were of the topic "We suck at FA" "We don't do anything" "Shanny sucks at FA" "We are going to be terrible because of FA"

I just want to know how those people feel now and if they finally are happy, since after all. We did some crap in FA.

None here...looks pretty good. I would like a veteran OT though...we'll see.

Check out his signature (it's satire). He was irritated how everybody was upset that we didn't go crazy in free agency. One day into the period, everybody was hitting the panic button. Now that we've signed Boss and McCree, among others, he's trying to say "See? Everything is fine now. Now STILL whining, are you?"

My answer: now I am. Meh for McCree, unless I hear an argument that convinces me otherwise. After seeing you sig str8, that reminds me I'm a bit upset we didn't get Briggs, either--being that he would've come relatively cheap. Not too many complaints, though. But then again, I was never one of those who panicked in the first place since I was hoping we'd build mostly through the draft, anyway.

Oh yeah, and a veteran DT would be nice, you know...to help out the young guys (including our pick). Somebody besides McKinley.

The Broncos have taken an interesting approach, gambling on the development of first time Free Agents in their Prime, that are to provide some of the filling for holes that cannot be addressed in the Draft.

I personally like the approach...to me, Koutivides is like a Mike Vrabel was for New England a few years back, when he left Pittsburgh as an unhearalded Free Agent....he was an unknown, but a perfect fit for what NE wanted to do...Niko may be the same type of guy for us, who knows?

The Point is, the Broncos had to do something in Free Agency, and be smart and frugal in the process...and I think they have done that. I like Colbert, Koutivides and The Boss...and I like McCree, although I don't know much about Marquand or whatever, but at least he is experienced depth.

That leaves the Broncos in positon to move around in the Draft and get some impact players they covet.

To me, the moves they have made have been concise and smart...now we'll see how they top it off in the Draft.

I was disappointed that they did not get one of the top
tier DTs. But what would that have cost us, we have
been burnt by DTs in the past that have ate up our
cap monies when they left. So, they are taking a smart
direction in the FA and not throwing money around. I
think we have room to get some FAs after the draft or
move UP because Shanny always moves up. If we do,
look for OT/DT (Clady or Ellis) to be in the picture. Yes,
they say Clady will fall to 12 but Shanny will go after his
guy if it means moving up to insure we get him, big money.
I think we should go OT/DT and I only think that is what
is in the picture, Shanny will always surprise people.

I would rather go DOWN a few slots and pick up some
                  picks this year and next.
                  Broncos forever!!

IT aint over with yet. Jake Scott is the biggest name left out there. Then after the splurge on FA teams will recalculate numbers and more people will be released. It is a never ending revolving door up until the Dolphins are officially on the clock....

if you know anything about FA, you know the broncos are still sticking to their word of not making a splash this year in FA, but rather build through the draft

colbert boss, mccree and manuel are all pretty much throwaway players right now, looking to rejuvinate their careers

all denver has done this FA is stock up on meat n potato guys, that's not a bad thing, it's smart.

Even longer. Supposedly KC is going to pick up players during training camp and June 1 cuts.

we made the right approach and whats funny is everyone should have seen it coming. at the end of the season the people that make the decisions said we would be quiet in FA and we were. it was a good approach, we can focus on the draft like they said they were going to do. Mcree, colbert and Koutivides should all be starters come next season.

now all they need to do is follow my sig and we will be set.....

                            My 2 cents

The FA pickups seem to be very responsible. I am not a capologist, but I can only hope this is the beginning to us fixing our cap issues.

I, personally, would like to see the team continue to get better without any huge FA signings that will put us back up against the cap in future years.
