The man has torchered me the last couple of years with the draft and prop again he will do it.
So I hope there is hope he doesn't go with D-Mac if the DTs are still there.
After reading this, I would say you have one foot out the door as is, and I'm tempted to kick you the rest of the way out.

For one, how could you possibly feel the team 'let you down again' by taking the top RB in the draft instead of a DT? Thats just sad to believe to begin with. The part about you saying you would "jump off the bandwagon" because the draft doesn't go the way YOU want it... is pathetic.

I would almost give you credit for exaggeration. But even exaggeration doesn't say you 'quit the team' simply because they haven't drafted the way YOU think they should. Right now, you have made up my mind and I hope we do move up to take McFadden..... now I want it to happen.

McFadden is still the top rated player by pretty much every scouting agency out there. If he falls it will be a combination of team needs and character concerns; not because of his skills as a RB.

Based on our team needs I am not sure I want him either but if he was there at 12 we would be crazy not to take him. You think Minnesota is regretting taking AP last year. Even though they had Chester Taylor. Of course not. We would be in the same boat. McFadden would improve our running game immediately.

In my opinion it wouldn't matter if we can't stop the run but that is a different point to make.

But let's be clear on one thing. McFadden is rated much higher and will be better than you give him credit for. I seriously doubt everyone else is wrong and your Selvin Young analogy is more accurate.
      Amen brother!!!

First of all I was just saying that this is the type of surprising move Mike will make, and I for one would love it if we didn't sell the farm to get it done. All these RB haters in here will change their tune real quick when we are scoring TD's in the redzone rather than kicking a FG 4 out of 5 trips into the redzone!

Imagine this, we get McFadden, platoon him with Henry and Young, and let him return Kick-offs (which he is VERY good at) his rookie year, chances are he will make Henry and Young fade out and take over the No. 1 duties by mid-season, then by 2009 we have a FRANCHISE RB finally and can quit relying on bums!

This will make Jay very happy and I Guarantee all of these fans in here will warm up to the idea when D-Mac is rushing for 1,500 yds and 15 TD's every year!

Bottom line he is the number 1 talent in this draft, hands down, and if we have a legitimate chance at getting him, even if it means trading up a few spots, we MUST get it done!!!

I personally would love to see us pick up Stewart at 12.... but I know we have HUGe needs at OT and DT ... I'm not blind. I guess the idea of finally having another franchise RB in OUR backfield, excites Me. While the OT or DT isn't exciting,it just fills a need.

The Cutler signing...EXCITED me! Its nice to get a player like that.

Ted and Shanny has been head on with the draft the last few years. I actually like the draft again. Broncos done had so many bad busted draft picks up untill the last few years im enjoying gettin some of the best talent lately like Cutler, BMarsh, Elvis, Paymah, Sheff, Foxworth..... So i dont know how you have been torchered the last few years.

Well it seems we always have a running game and pretty much you can put any running back and this system and have a good to great production every year and this has held true for MANY years.
I'm just saying with a running back like McFadden you would have to let go of Sapp, Young or even Henry and just have two maybe three backs on the roster.
I'll be honest and say I would love to have McFadden(Great talent the best in the draft and is a solid home run hitter) just we need Defensive Tackle and if Dorsey, Ellis or McFadden is on the board when we pick, you are gonna go with McFadden?

As for me with my "foot out the door", I've stuck by this team for over 11 years now and have my heart crushed because of countless inconsistanties in either our offense or defense.
First half of the season we look great and the second half we fall apart.
2005 was different and we should've gone to the Super Bowl that year.
Just we are a team that is always needing that "one extra piece" to complete the puzzle ALWAYS.
I'ma stick with this team through thick and thin like I did with Buddy Bruster and Brian Greise.
Hell if I can get through Jake "The Snake/No Mistake" Plummer, seems I can get through anything for this team.
                Go Broncos

We all get frustrated from time to time, I know I've said some things myself (mostly about Shanny) but in the end I do think Mike is the right man for the job and is getting much better at drafting!

If he were to do something crazy like trade up to get D-Mac all would not be lost! We get the best pure talent in the draft and the gamebreaker our offense lacks, then we can add an OT at some point for depth and the rest can be spent on Defense (mostly line), oh and maybe a KR/WR!

I would love for Mike to make this move!!!

No but after de-railing the DMac ban wagon i get sloppy so I do apologize for that.

anyway i wrote this in another Pro-DMac that really put a damper on them.

Granted McFadden is talented but he's nothing more then an over glorified edge runner. He lacks the strength to pound it inside the tackles. His legs virtually go dead upon contact and he struggles to gain leverage for an extra yard.

His off the field issues are a major distraction to the team, we dont need someone who cant keep it in his pants to play for us. I think the Broncos org has had enough of questionable character players coming to the team only to throw mud on the organizations name. Henry is probably going to be the last of those who has done so with his 'puff puff' adventure that he got off on a technicality from the league.

McFadden gets all the glory while Jones and the other RB from Arkansas does all the real pounding inside the tackles. I mean how many of his better plays came from standard NFL plays and not 'trick' plays like the Wild Hog formation or the RB shotgun keep which by the way are barely used in the NFL.

His inability to push the pile inside the tackles and his off the field issues make McFadden a huge risk but its hard to deny his talents hence he'll be in the top 5 but he's just an over glorified Situational Edge runner who may not live up to his own hype.
Just a tid-bit from my other post hope that clears up on how I see DMac as an overglorified edge rusher
McDaniles Career as a failure of a Head Coach is being fulfilled. Termination of McFailure has happen.

Rejoice Bronco Fans we have taken our team back, but at a heavy cost.

No apologies necessary. I have been out here several years and I don't post much anymore but I have read quite a bit of your posts. I don't think you are uneducated by any means. I just did not agree with your analysis. I probably should not have responded so critically.

I understand your point on the subject. I happen to think McFadden is incredibly talented but I don't think it matters if we can't stop the run. At some point, and I have been asking this for 4 years now, we have got to draft DTs. If we were to take McFadden (or any RB for that matter), a OT, or a WR I believe we much take a DT in the second round.....

Personally if there is some way that Dorsey or Ellis slips to our spot I hope we don't pass on them. I don't care who else is on the board.

Don't mind Kazuki. He's just been completely brainwashed into thinking that Rashard Mendenhall is the end all and be all of RBs and the Broncos savior. So much so that he takes cheap shots at McFadden every chance he gets as if it would somehow discredit his ability.

See when I look at DMac all i see is a far more talented Selvin Young with Travis Henry issues. The guy's biggest runs come from the Wild Hog Formation and the Shot Gun Keep, both are considered trick plays and not really used in the professional level.

He also has a hard time generating leverage to push through tackles and goes dead on contact. If he gets caught by a linebacker thats the end of the run literally. He cannot be seen as not a true RB who can go inside/outside with power speed and vision. All he can do is go outside with speed and we got that already with our own edge rusher.

Ellis and Dorsey are both Under tackles and we already got an UT from last year. round two we can get a NT. Also DT's take time you really want to spend money on a 1st round DT and hear people on these boards go "well we thought Ellis was a stud he looks like a bust" when we can get a good quality player DT in the lower rounds who fits the run stuffing type we need to work on.

OT's well we need brawlers over Finesse OT's and we need stronger OT's not ones that can barely do 20 reps.

Seriously DMac im not sold on the guy and I think he'll be the first bust(in the true RB sense... Edge rusher not as much as he's seriously a threat only on the outsides of the tackle), the other Mike Heart, and K.Smith.

Knowing Shanahan's record he will possibly have a hard on for Heart and Smith because he wants to still be known as the "RB whisperer". DMac well he may use that to get more picks from DAL.

no... i'm just speaking the Truth about him.

and No i'll be Happy if we can Draft Otha, Rubin, Bennett and somehow get Choice then get a franchise back in 2010.

Quite Honestly im sick and tired of 2nd teir talent and over glorified edge rushers. so the only two backs that I wish we can draft are either Stewart or Mendenhall

Any other back will just be a quick plug until we find another back that shows either similar abilities to Peterson or Mendenhall.
