  • Orange and Blue Mocks..... 2 Mocks for the price of one, which one would you prefer?

    ORANGE MOCK:
I'm going to go ahead and assume that someone will pick up Foxy for a 3rd rounder and we will trade our 12th overall pick to the texans for their 18th overall and a 2nd round pick in 09 so they can pick up a tackle like Clady or Williams.

    #1 (18 from Texans )

RB - Jonathan Stewart - Oregon

Sure hes going to be out for 4-6 months thats before the season starts no rush tho, let him heal he don't need to play right away this is the perfect situation for his condition let Henry and Young play than start plugging J Stew in around week 4 or 5. I think the broncos coaching staff realizes that all the RBs on Denver's current roster can not stay healthy or carry the load, for years the broncos have been avoiding picking a RB in the first round and for years they haven't really had a true starter at RB there was always some kind of RB controversy or time split going on. Jonathan Stewart is what we hoped Henry would be for us and thats a work horse except with a whole bunch of upside and KR ability if needed.

    2

WR - Mario Manningham - Michigan

Manningham had a disappointing combine but he made up for it with a solid time on his pro-day despite how fast of slow this guy's timed speed is on film he looks like a solid player and a true deep threat, runs good routes, blocks, and rarely drops the football. Broncos need a deep threat and #2 WR opposite of Marshall Colbert is not that guy. Manningham would be a steal here.

    3
OL - Oniel Cousins - UTEP
Perfect pick for us here Oniel Cousins was a solid player at UTEP, he is a tackle but I believe he can also be a very good guard at the next level either way a player that can play both positions on the O-Line is a plus to me he will be a starter for us by the end of the year.

    4
DL - Kendall Langford - Hampton
Played DT at Hampton but is projected to be a DE at the next level because of his ability to rush the passer, hes got good speed, he can bull rush and he is very good against the run, another player that provides us depth at DE and DT maybe he can win a starting job one day.

    4
    RS/WR - Darius Reynaud - West Virginia
Darius is a real explosive player, drafting him would mainly be for his ability to make people miss in the open field, he has a whole lot of upside as a PR and KR specialist but he is also a weapon on offense use him in a 4 wide set I can see him being the perfect slot reciever one day to replace stokely. Get Martinez off the PR team and let this guy make plays.

    5
    DT Frank Okam - Texas
Sure hes a fat arse, but there are times at Texas where hes flashed the looks of an absolute beast once considered a 1st-2nd round talent now falls because his weight issues, sounds to me like Shaun Rogers, people wanted him on this team why not get a younger version with a bit more upside?

    5
    S - Thomas DeCoud - Cal
Now I don't know if DeCoud will fall this far but if he does he would be a solid pick, not sure if hes a starter but you will never know unless you let him compete, I say he falls because his lack of INTs in college.

    6
    K - Taylor Mehlhaff - Wisconsin
    Jason Elam's replacement?

    7
    C -Fernando Velasco

A guard with a whole lot of potential we lack depth at guard losing Myers.

    7
    S - Nehemiah Warrick - Michigan St.
Brother of Peter Warrick I believe lol thats not saying a lot just a fun fact, he is a athletic safety who can lay people out, fans of Michigan St. speak real highly of him and thinks he can turn into a solid player, if not he can always be a special teams beast.

    BLUE MOCK:

We stay put at 12 and still get a 3rd rounder from trading foxworth.

    1

WR - DeSean Jackson - Cal
Fills out need a #2 WR? Maybe not but if Jesus in cleats thinks so hey maybe he can than I just think hes a bit small but you can't deny his speed and return ability, personally I wouldn't mind Jackson after what Jerry Rice says about him.

    2
OT - Duane Brown - Virginia Tech
Solid Tackle, who will eventually start for us.

    3
RB - Kevin Smith - UCF
We have had success with Brandon Marshall out of UCF now we draft his buddy a RB who has some of the most ridiculous cuts I have seen since Barry Sanders, Kevin Smith and he has a great vision another pick I wouldn't mind.

    4
DT - Ahtyba Rubin - Iowa St.
We need DTs!!!!!!! Rubin is going to be a beast mark my words.

    4
    LB Jonathan Goff - Vanderbilt
Would be a steal if he fell this far don't count on it but lets hope he does because you never know if the Niko experiment is going to work.

    5
    C - Kory Lichtensteiger - Bowling Green
Chris Myers was traded we need to draft someone that can fill in for Tom Nalen when he hangs it up which will probably be soon cause Nalen is OLD!

    5
WR - Adarius Bowman - Oklahoma St.
No hes not fast, but he makes plays on the football field his size makes him a weapon think a slower version of Brandon Marshall, if anyone can make this work maybe it can be Shanny !?! Remember Shanny has some friends at Oklahoma St. so don't count this pick out.

    6
    S - David Roach - TCU
Had a solid combine, right now hes a project but he played great at TCU, in my eyes hes twice the player Hamzah Abdullah is right now.

    7
    K - Brandon Coutu - Georgia
This guy can kick 50+ yarders ..... we missed out on Crosby lets grab this guy imagine his leg power with the Denver Air, Jason Elam pt.2?

    7
    P - Andrew Larson - Cal
Lets hope this punter won't have off the field issues.

This is a fun idea. The orange draft is pretty solid and I like the prospect of being able to pick up Jonathan Stewart later because of his injury. I'm not so sure about the blue draft though. Duane Brown in the Second? He'll probably be a 3rd rounder at the highest but most likely a 4th rounder. Rubin has a better chance of being taken in the second than Brown. I'm also not a Desean Jackson fan. Good read though, thanks.

The blue mock is better, but you should reverse the Brown-Rubin picks. I don't think Lichtensteiger will fall that far. I'm not a fan of Jackson either but the later rounds are better.

NEITHER! Sheesh. In either one you dont have us taking DT till the 3rd or 4th. Biggest needs usually are selected earlier than other areas or so I'm told....

I prefer the Blue mock, though I would draft a DT in the 2nd round if I was doing the mock. OT in the 3rd over a RB. As for the orange, I like the idea of getting Manningham to be our no.2, I just don't want Stewart in the 1st. Much bigger needs than RB on this team. Can't please everyone I suppose, but good mocks.

Unless you're smart and draft the BPA.

Sorry, you can not add yourself to your own ignore list.

There are plenty of great DT prospects to be had in the 2nd round. Dont tell me Duane Brown or Mario Manningham will be the BPA when we pick in the 2nd.

I think it's shocking how far Adarius Bowman's stock has fallen.

yeah but dont be suprised to see him right the ship and become a factor on whatever teams drafts him.....i think is a good sleeper regardless.

That's most definently not what i'm saying, but I am saying we can't just take a DT because we need one. I think doing that will cause us to reach on a guy that isn't great value at our pick. If the right guy falls to us I say nab him, but we can't go into the draft thinking we "have" to grab a DT early regardless.

Not quite Anquan Boldin, but could be a similar story.

Jackson kills the second draft IMO...

So i'd have to say the first one.
Club Leader: Robert Griffin III > Andrew Luck

Agree. Although taking a RB in the First almost kills the orange, too.
