Because thoes ELITE DT wanted to get payed. Thier respective teams wanted more for them but couldnt get it. Would you give up a first round pick and a huge paycheck for an elite DT. I wouldn't! Foxworth is decent not GREAT. He is still better than any CB you could draft in the third round has playing time and would come relativly cheap. Football also has a business side.

I'd keep him. He plays well, and I'm not real sold on Bly.
Plus he can possibly play safety for us.sigpicComment

I'm not saying the deals those teams made were bad or good, I don't care if money was an issue (They wouldn't have garnered more compensation without the contract extensions), I'm saying a better player was dealt for a 3 and a 5, so if Foxworth has never even proven he can be a starter, why would a team give up a 3rd round pick for him?
And if money is the telling sign, every team knows Foxworth is available, yet, apparently nobody has even made him an offer, further proving that Foxworth is not worth the 3rd round pick a team would have to give the Broncos to sign him.
And the Broncos got Paymah in the 3rd round, he's a better corner than Foxworth, so saying a team can't find a better CB than Foxworth in the 3rd round is a ridiculous statement......Last edited by stnzed; 04-04-2008, 08:57 PM.Comment
