  • No playoffs in future for Broncos!

The Broncos will not make the playoffs or be any better than a sub .500 team until we get back to what made the Broncos great. We need to get back to a ball control style of offence and play good special special teams.

We need to draft a stud RB and a slobberknocker FB in the first 2 rounds. After that we need to take the best avalible o-linemen on the second day.

    The stats don't lie...
2007.. 429 rush att. vs 515 pass att.
2006.. 488 rush att. vs 454 pass att.
2005.. 542 rush att. vs 465 pass att.
2004.. 534 rush att. vs 521 pass att.
2003.. 543 rush att. vs 479 pass att.

As you can see, there has been a shift in what we have been doing in the last several yrs. If we don't draft offense this yr, then we are in for more LOSING seasons and a coaching change( which would not really be a bad thing).

I dont think that we need to get to a ball control offense. we have never been a ball control offense. In our super bowl years we ran a lot but we were a balanced team. The reason for the slide is the lack of talent on our lines. How many years has it been since we had a pro bowl player on our lines? Tommy Halen was good for a few years, but he is long past his peak. Lepsis was ok, but no where near pro bowler.
I agree that we need a little talent at the running back position. But lets fix the line and the we can keep the QB alive.

Also the reason that we are passing more is cause we got a QB now that can throw the ball
Thanx Blondie79 for the sweet Sig....Love it and I will rock it with pridesigpic

I agree totally.. I just hope we don't let a top rb get by just to draft someone like clady. who by the way I am not inpressed with at all.

Take a look at all the top backs in the league... LT, AP, and so on, they all run behind a good/great offensive line. Even a stud running back can't do a lot if they are getting hit before they get to the line of scrimmage.

You bring up the stats from previous years, years when we had a solid o-line to block for our backs. Until we secure the line, it won't make a huge difference who is running behind it.

the best blocking FB in the draft(owen schmidt) will be available in 4th round...

              I would say:
              1) OT/DT
              2) rb/OL
              4) FB
              4) OL/RB/DT(what ever need that isn´t filled)

I dont care who the player is. You dont draft a FB with your second pick. What are you smoking. Might as well say with the first pick denver should take a kicker.

o-line should be a priority before RB and FB, also when is the last time you saw a stud FB get drafted in the second rd?
