Rice is vouching for Jackson

Don't know how many of you heard this, but on Path to the Draft Charles Davis said that Jerry Rice is vouching for Desean Jackson. I still don't support getting him, but it does make you want to take a closer look.

Yeah I figured Rice would vouch for him...they have been working out together.

OMG...I agree with you....
But yea, just because Jerry says he is a guy to pick up in the draft really doesn't mean anything.
Now if there was great WR's around Jerry Rice while he was playing and told the team to get them, then it would be alright.
For instance, if Jerry Rice told the 49'ers to DRAFT Terrel Owens, then maybe I'll listen to Jerry.

I think everyone will agree that he isn't as good as Jerry Rice. Nobody is as good as him. But when someone like Rice endorses somebody it makes you want to take a closer look at him. I'm leary of Jackson, but he could turn out great.

And just because an OT played guard and tackle on the same team as your starting QB for 1 year and a WR played 1 year with the same QB on your team, doesn't mean they will gel instinctively together if on the same team....
