Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Didn't watch the video, but wow. I don't think that the comparison is even close.
LJ is sooooo much better than Stewart. That spread offense contributed heavily to Stewart's success.
We need an all-pro running back. Henry/Young are decent to good. You put an all-pro RB on any team and all of a sudden you're a contender. Chargers never had a wide out weapon and still no QB but they're still a contender because of LT. Same thing with ALL DAY and the Vikings. They say anyone could run for 1,000 yards with the Broncos, just imagine if the person doing the running was someone along those same lines.
but Stewart isnt even a spread O type back. imagine what he could do in an offense that fits his playing style (right here in denver)
i want mendenhall/stewart/johson in this draft anyone of those will be good picks
I don't think Ray Rice would be a bad pick...however I really like Stewart and I'm hoping his foot injury would drop his draft stock so we can get in the 2nd round (I think most believe he will still be a 1st round pick though).
Thx,
Joe
To live is to suffer, to survive is to find meaning in the suffering.
I am 100% for trading down and taking jonathan stewart but everytime I mention a first round back I get my a** chewed. So I think Ray Rice or Matt Forte would be a good compromise.
The link wouldn't open for me. I would really like to know what he said. Two likely scenarios are he is claiming to have a similar running style to Larry Johnson or that he is stating that he brings to the table what Larry Johnson does. The first I could understand. The second I would say that he probably needs to make a pro bowl or two before making such assertations.

There may be some truth to what you are saying, but I watched him in the Rose Bowl against USC, who has a very good defense. He was, in my opinion, the best offensive player in the game on either team. He almost single handledly kept Illinois within striking distance in the first half. He runs very hard, and is a home run hitter. I think I saw atleast three runs of over 50 yards in that game.

I have to admit that I thought LJ was a joke coming out of college. He got most of his yards against weak schools and didn't really show up when playing against the best in the big 10. He proved me wrong and showed he really is an elite RB.
Now as for Stewert, I'm not so convinced that he is as good as advertised. What happened to him after Dixon went down. He averaged less than 5 yards per carry in those 3 games and failed to reach the end zone. I wonder if he was just a product of the threat that Dixon was.
