Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

You should take a look at this question... figure out why we had the opportunity to give Adams/Rice a chance. Once you've answered that, ask this question backwards in the opposite view.

um.... we gave sam adams a chance cause he "added weight" to our line, and we gave rice a chance cause he used to be a star. so.... looking at the question backwards in the opposite view is.....
james not why, chance a rice simeon and adams sam gave we hell. can you please explain what your trying to say? please? lol i'm confused.

He's probably better than Engleberger and Ekuban. If we can get him for a small contract, I say we give him a shot.
Even for a market or fair contract the guy is worth a shot. He played in a division known for running the ball where sacks are going to be lower. Name the best DE out of the NFC N for the last two years. The last big name at that position was KGB and even then he was hyped.
The guy is young still and IMO would be an upgrade to Engleberger for sure and maybe even Ekubn too.
Why should we sign James? So he can spend his Broncos days on IR or the deactivated list? We've got 3 very young DE's (Dumervil, Moss, Crowder) and the old guys (Ekuban, Engelberger, Mallard)......I say no to Erasmus (what kind of name is Erasmus? lol)

Last year, we gave 2 former studs a chance. The only problem was, that BOTH players turned into duds before they arrived in Denver.
Sam Adams. I'm sure glad he came to Denver. I think he put more effort running on and off the field between plays then in the actual game.
Simeon Rice... How many shots did this guy want? Shanahan knew he was injured.. gave him a chance anyways, and he failed. Then he complained about it, saying he deserved better and moved onto the Colts... You can see how well that turned out.
Both players were gone, before the season ended.
Now you want to bring in a player who has been injured since his days in college, and who also has had problems reporting to meetings/etc, to the Denver Broncos? Boy... don't some people realize we have enough D-linemen??
Personally, I'm happy with the team just the way it is. We have experienced quality leadership on the team I.E. Lynch, bailey, Nalen, and Hamilton. We also have some excellent young players that we need to develop i.e. Clady, Royal, Moss, Crowder, Dumervil, Barrett. We have so many young players if they gel and play well together we will have the starting core for years to come. Add to that, players from upcoming drafts and a few FA thrown in every off season I think we are set. Instead of bringing in more question marks from another team lets develop the team we have.
