Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

A few weeks ago, the Broncos toyed with the idea of signing Dominic Rhodes or Shaun Alexander, but on Tuesday, they got serious, reaching an agreement with former Buccaneers halfback Michael Pittman.

Pittman's agreement came at a time the team has some concerns about Travis Henry's slow recovery from an offseason hamstring injury.
The 32-year-old Pittman is a physical back. He rushed for 286 yards on 68 carries for a 4.2 yard average last season.
Not sure to be joyous or down about this signing...
Backfield competition during training camp.......however fewer touches for Torain and Aldrige. A physical (durable?) RB for short yardage and goalline.....THenry's hammy isn't healing fast enough.
I think this means the end to Travis Henry!!! I think he is cut next week.
*crosses fingers* Would be nice, I couldn't stand watching him finally run for over 5 yds on a play and seeing him struggle to get up as he limped to the sideline.
However, he did restructure his contract in hopes of validating his worth.......
I have nothing against his off-field situations, it's just his durability.....I just don't see that "fight" in him.

I would rather have him than Pittman, but rather have Selvin than Henry

Champ losing a step, just means the rest of the NFL is now only two steps behind.
I wouldn't be surprised if he gets cut in training camp.
I've seen Pittman run with force at times with the Bucs; A ZBS may propell him somewhat........but 10 yrs in the league is quite a bit of wear and tear.

Plus he's battled hamstring injuries the past few years
Kind of strange, bringing in another support RB, possibly just because of a hamstring (so we think). I'm sorry but I am "lukewarm" at best with our back situation. And if Henry doesn't cut it, who carries the load. Not Young. Not Torain. Not anyone else. Is this another committee being formed??? Shoulda, woulda, coulda..... grabbed a running back in round one or two.
