Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

I can't believe we traded jason elam, he has been the glue to this team. I can't remember how many games denver one last year because of him. I know why we traded him (because of money) however if i was shanny i would have kept him a couple more years. Thank you jason for all the great years with Denver!!!!
Elam wasn't traded. His contract was up and he chose a four year deal over the 3 year deal we were offering him. He was a great player for our organization but now only a shell of his former self. For only handling half of a kickers duties he was not worth resigning.
it was really surprising to hear that he WANTED to go home to the atlanta area. i can understand getting older and wanting to be home but,wow after all the years in denver i would have thought he would like to be one of those rare players who finished his career with the same team....oh well we needed to get young at kicker within a year or so anyway, why not do it now and let the new guy grow with the rest of the young team....good luck and thanks for the memories......moving on

I am still shocked that Elam isn't a Denver Bronco.
He wanted more money then Denver was offering, so he chose Atlanta over us.
Now,we are left with a big ? at the kicker position.
prater can kick it 70 yds in the mile high altitude......now we just have to get him to kick them down the middle......i think he'll be alright
lets just hope we dont need our kicker(whoever it is) to win 1/2 our games!

Can not replace a Jason Elam and we are forced to do that.......I don't want to elaborate on this because we should move on....but I can't help but say that YOU'RE COMPLETELY RIGHT!
We should have waited to make that move....Jason, pretty much, won all our games for us and it's sad that he's gone now..........
JASON......I LOVE YOU FOR YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS TO OUR TEAM........THERE WILL NEVER BE ONE LIKE YOU......THANKS FOR HAVING SUCH AN INCREDIBLE LEG
Yea it happens. Thats why the NFL is a business. Denver had offered him a multi year deal that would have been better if he wanted to play a few more years. But he took a 1 year deal because he wanted the money and chances are this will be his last year in the league. So he would not need a multi-year deal.
