Why is Myron Rolle your #1 player for 09, he can't cover worth a lick, and is best suited at LB...Just wondering....

Now Taylor Mays is my #1

What does any of this have to do with the Denver Broncos ?

What is the point here ?

Just a friendly tip to keep in mind in the future:

It's usually customary to PM these sort of things to the intended person, rather than start a whole new thread for a private conversation.

because its a free world.............. and i dont think we will be picking top ten next year which is where mays will probally end up. so in my opinion rolle is a very good option at around spot 21 which is where i think we will pick next year.

Basically if we do look at Safety in the 09' draft, it will come down to 3 guys.

Taylor Mays should easily be a top 15 pick, hopefully we do not pick that high, so this leaves us with William Moore, Myron Rolle, and Kam Chancellor.

I prefer Moore of the 3, he is a stud that can and will be the nest Atwater in Denver!!!

When I watched the Trojans play last year, Mays disappeared for long stretches of games. I don't have coaches tape so it's hard to evaluate him on a play-by-play basis, but there were many stretches when I forgot he was on the field. You could argue that the reason why you didn't see him was because he played so deep in the secondary, but with his speed, there's no reason why he shouldn't be around the ball more if he anticipated plays like other productive safeties with better instincts. Plus, like I said, he's not a hard hitter for a guy of his size and speed. Kevin Ellison is a much more aggresive tackler in the USC secondary.

May is a good football player, and has the ability to be even better. However I still can't see the justification for many people to crown him as a Top 15 prospect based off of what he's done so far, that's all.

No way Laurinaitis goes #1 overall.

I like him a lot and he's one of the players on my wishlist for next year, but it is extremely rare for a LB to go 1st overall. Actually, has it ever happened?

To me, one of these players are the most likely to go #1 overall next year right now:

                      Matt Stafford [QB, UGA]*
                      Michael Oher [OT, Ole Miss]
                      Andre Smith [OT, Alabama]*
                      Michael Crabtree [WR, Texas Tech]*

                      *junior or RS sophomore

In pretty much that order too

Not often ....I think the last one was '79 Tom Cousineau LB from Ohio Stae

Good list....hard to debate it... I dont think we will see any QB in the top 10 this year

If we do I think it would be Stafford QB.

I think OT Andre Smith is in the running for top 10 as well...I normally value weapons and defense higher bad habit....

I think Michael Crabtree will go top 10 but not top 5.
