  • do you think Denver should pick up Leorenzo Neal

What does everyone think about maybe pickin up Leorenzo Neal, or at least bring him in to try out durning the summer, i know he's 37 but he still has some good games left to play, an i think he could help Denver's blockin, an short passes, an he would be a great teacher for Peyton Hillis, he would be learnin from one of the NFL'S best FB's, and Leorenzo Neal is a good locker person with know off the feild problems!

I was one of the first aboard the Zo Neal train, but now with the drafting of Hillis and the fact that Neal has been on the market for so long am not so sure he would be a difference maker.

Sure, he would provide verteran leadership, but I just don't know...

We drafted Peyton Hillis for a reason. Peyton Hillis can contribute way more than Neal can at this point in his career.

if he is cheap why not bring him in and let Hillis learn from one of the best

Do we have a forum for hypothetical polls?

No we shouldn't draft Zo. He was a really good player. But he doesn't fit our offense at all. Remember the best FB that we had was howard Griffin. That is the kind of FB that we need. A short yardage guy, that can be a lead blocker, and catch passes out of the backfield. Hillis is the perfect fit.

I agree. I wanted Schmitt, but Hillis may be more talented overall. I say stick with the youth movement, and see where that takes us.

Cecil sapp or mike bell would be the obvious answer

I agree with you re: Howard Griffith & sadly we have not been able to replace him... until now. Peyton Hillis is the perfect fit for our system & he will enable us to do the things we used to do very well when we had a FB to grind out the tough yards, blow up defenders, catch passes out of the backfield, & utilize in short yardage/goal line situations. It might be a good idea however to bring Neal into camp to help school Hillis?

Is it just me or does Hillis remind anyone else of Alstott?

I've looked in 3 threads now and there you are with a smartass remark. If that's all you got, how about you find a hobby.

I really like hillis....i think the kid is going to be able to do everything well....ala Howard Griffen. Neal is just a crushing lead blocker which is nice but he isnt versital enough for us. But you really gotta be excited about Hillis
