  • RB's About To Hit Open Market

There are usually a lot of young, talented RB's that are 53 man roster cut casualties...and maybe the Broncos can land a guy that would be a better player than Michael Pittman. Some guys that I can think of are Ryan Moats (Eagles) Tony Hunt (Eagles) Marcus Thomas (Chargers) LaBrandon Toefield (Panthers) Nick Goings (Panthers) Tashard Choice (Cowboys).

Personally, if Tony Hunt or Tashard Choice are cut, I would love to see one of them in the Orange and Blue.

What do you guys think and do you know any other RB's that could possibly be available. I'll update in a little while with more names.

      Moats and Toefield, no.

Nick Goings is almost like a poor version of Michael Pittman, in terms of a RB that runs hard, also plays a little FB, and doesn't have any speed or quickness.

Hunt, and Tashard Choice would be a good get, but I don't think either one will get cut. Hunt has looked great, and is battling Buckhalter for the backup spot, and the only reason why Choice would be cut is because they are deadset at RB, but he's having a great camp also and could sneak in as the #3 behind Marber and Jones.

What about Chris Henry from the Titans?

They have L.White and the 1st round rookie Chris Johnson.

Henry is a workout warrior but he has not been able to translate it to the field. I would say no.

He'd be a good choice, but I still think they have plans for him.

Johnson is going to be used as a Bush type back, where he's returning, lining up at HB, and also lining up in the slot. He could get up to 15-20 touches a game, but I would expect 3-4 in returns, and 5-10 in receptions as an outlet, and that's if things go great for him.

If nothing else I would still think Henry makes the team as the #3 back.

Chris Henry couldn't beat out Mike Bell, and Mike Bell couldn't make the roster, so why should Henry be able to? He runs soft, he has bad hands and his 40 time speed is an aberration, he plays a lot slower than that.

WE don't need one. We have what we NEED. Don't complain.

Thanks, but i'll pass on replacing Pittman with some reject RB who's not good enough for another team's 53

                      ditto that.

I think there are other areas we should be concentrating on

This ain't college, otherwise our RB's suck, considering Selvin Young is our projected starter, and couldn't beat our Cedric Bensen who nobody wants, Jamaal Charles who is KC's 3rd/4th RB, or Romonce Taylor, who isn't even in the NFL.

Who's complaining? Some of these guys would be upgrades over some of the guys we have. Sure doesn't hurt to take a look.

On Moats, who would be far from my first choice here, I know there were rumors in the past that Shanahan liked him but not sure that's still the case.

Yup that would be him, I would love to see him in orange and blue, but I just dont think it will happen. Eagles will most likely keep him and if they do cut him then he will find work elsewhere because I do not see us picking up anymore running backs... but it is denver so who knows
