Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

1. Donnell Ellerbe - Georgia
2. Ray Maualuga - USC
3. James Laurinaitis - Ohio State
4. Darry Beckwith - LSU
5. Scott McKillop - Pittsburgh
That list is as good as any this time of year. I would also put Spikes in there if he declares. Tyrone McKenzie at South Florida could also project as a very good MLB. I think both Freeman and Curry could play MLB in a 4-3 because the are very well rounded, playing well against the pass and decent blitzing skills.
My big sleeper is Josh Mauga who at 245lbs may run a 4.5 flat. he had 82 TT in just 8 games after moving from OLB to MLB last year and has big time leadership qualities.
Vince Oghobaase*, Duke
Height: 6-6. Weight: 310.
Projected 40 Time: 5.11.
Projected Round (2009): 1-2.
5/9/08: Vince Oghobaase is more than just 310 pounds of fat sitting in the middle of the defensive line. His body fat percentage low and thus he's more than a simple huge run-stuffer.
1) A) Andre Smith OT, Ala
1) B) Michael Crabtree WR, TT
1) C) Sam Bradford QB, Ok
2) A) Phil Loadhollt OT, Ok (move Albert back inside)
2) B) Mark Sanchez QB, USC
2) C) Vidal Hazleton WR, USC
3) A) Chase Daniels QB, MU
3) B) Domonique Johnson CB, Jackson St.
3) C) Auston English DE, Ok
It's too hard to go much past this point... Only a few people I have noted for
late round picks would be John Parker Wilson, Graham Harrell, Pinkney,
Weatherspoon.
1) William Moore
2) Vontae Davis
3) Beanie wells
4) Brandon Spikes
5) Jeremy Maclin
6) Max Unger
7) Chase Daniel
Rey Maualuga or James Laurinaitis would be alright, for some reason though I have a hard time getting excited about either which is probably just me being stupid.
I have raised CB as a need for us in lieu of the pending Nique trade. Not sure what vets will become available next year, but I think we need to get a couple in the draft, I would love to pick up a late 2nd early third. Here is what I feel we need to replace:
C Nalen
CB Foxworth
CB Paymah
MLB Webster
S Manuel
DE EE
WR Colbert
G Weigmann
This is assuming that Boss plays well, and we extend DJax.
Just some intresting things I saw from the UCLA vs Tenn game:
Arian Foster looked great, but that fumble really hurt him. He should bounce back though. It was just a good hit on the ball. Also from that game, that DT Price for UCLA looks to be a beast. He seemed to always be in postion to stop the run and was always getting pressure on the QB. He Looked good for UCLA. Too bad he's only a Sophomore right now.
But at MLB, as long as Denver address this postion by the 3rd round, I wouldn't mind whoever we get.
For RB's, boy. This looks to be another deep class, just that I don't think Denver is in postion to nab anyone worthwhile other than James Davis. But I'd rather have a great MLB or Saftey in the first 2 rounds. Unless Denver somehow finds a way to get another 1st round.
Anyone thinking we don't need a great RB is kidding themselves. Torain can be great, but he has to remain healthy first. Young and Hall are a great tandem, but nothing special when you look at Barber/Jones. I'd perfer to have that lineup at RB. 2 completly different backs that can do everything the other can't. And there's not much that Barber can't do.

arian foster is the back i want the most, and he did look great last night, that fumble was rough for him.

There is SO many variables with our team to really pick the strong positions and the week. i hope there is a guy or two that really impresses us down the line.
I am underwhelmed with DE this year. i acutally would consider going after a LDE(julias peppers lol yeah i know yeah right ) Unless Crowder can come in and play better at the strong side this is gonna be a need. and i feel ew are covered with Moss and Doom....yes i think moss will get better as the season goes on
I really am not to impressed with C and G this year. there is a couple good guys but i think we have serviceable vets on this team to hold up until we can spend a higher pick. i think it is a lower need next year
iI really like MLB this year it is gonna be very deep. with good players probably tell the third.
Darry Beckwith, LSU Really never seen him play but ill get alot of him this year ill get back to you on him.
James Laurinaitis, Ohio State - Im glad he probably wont be around when we come up to pick. he has great coverage and is great in space. but he really needs good DT to be really effective at the next leval he has a rough time disengaging and be a better tackler. i really think he is ideal for our system but those two things are REALLy concering to me.
Brandon Spikes, Florida He is another guy that is being highly touted. i have not seen much game of him ill get back on him later
Safety position is another great position. i really would like to get a SS and i feel
Courtney Greene, Rutgers. (probably the best in the box safety this year. and a legit 2nd rounder) and
Kevin Ellison, USC(probably could be had in the 3rd to 4th depending on his production this year.)
Nic Harris, Oklahoma in college he can hit and he has decent covering ability but his 4.6 also could move him to OLB in thr pros or a career back up at SS and a special teamer.
The fool who fancies he is full of wisdom
While he sits by his hearth at home.
Quickly finds when questioned by others .
That he knows nothing at all.
