Chad Jackson anyone? / Upgrade at WR? (Merged)

Chad Jackson could be a weapon!

Could you imagine Brandon Marshall, Chad Jackson (finally given the chance to show what made him so great at Florida) and Eddie Royalas our top 3 receivers? We would have an elite, YOUNG, receiving core and we would have an air threat (besides just Brandon) on the outside as well as on the ground. The offense would be very difficult for anyone to stop. They would only hope to contain us, or at least limit the bleeding! I'm sorry but Colbert and the other role players are not a big threat. Brandon is the only air threat, besides Tony, and until we get another longball threat, the defenses will key on the running game and make us one dimesional. We haven't had a true 1-2 punch at receiver since Easy Ed and Rod were lined up together. And before that it was Vance Johnson, Mark Jackson, long ago! Shanahan needs to do what he wanted to in 06 and pull the trigger on Jackson before he gets away for next to nothing. With the role players we have now, it couldn't hurt to see if he is Florida Chad, or Bust!

I've been reading on different sites that he was beat out by Gaffney for that final WR position.

Maybe they put him on IR again.

I don't think he''ll ever live up to his talent because of his leg.

Ok it says "Broncos Cut 4 receivers", then it names Clifford Russell,Glenn Martinez,Marquay Mcdainel, and Keary Colbert. No other WR was on the list, just the 4 named above. If I'm wrong I apologize.

You will notice "period" between Russell and Veteran. The "." denotes the end of one thought or statement, and the beginning of a second thought or statement.

Example: John is big. Sally is a tramp.

This does not mean Sally is a big tramp, nor is she with John because he is big. Two separate statements.

So you are saying that Chambers drops more balls than DJax because he played for the Dolphins?

Did DJax play with a better QB...yes, but isn't he playing with a better QB now with Cutler?

I know what kind of WR DJax is and I do not need some preseason games to tell me. He will catch 60% of the balls thrown his way, he has good YAC ability, and has proven he can get open in the endzone.

Chad Jackson has shown he can not beat out 8 other WRs on NEs roster.

okay cutler2007 chris chambers has played 1 less year in the nfl then djax with just over 40 less catches then him take in account he played for the DOLPHINS his hole career beside the chargers and djax played for a playoff team his hole career now deaon branch 2 less years then djax and and played half as many games and t.o has led the nfl in dropped passes the last two years and played 4 more years then him and is still one of the best wr in the nfl at 35 so i dont know why you are so high on djack he is not that good my friend

Chad Jackson

Chad Jackson was released along with John Lynch, what do you guys think about picking him up? He hasn't had a amazing run in NE but if you recall he was on our radar in 06 and if we hadn't of traded for Javon I'd wager he'd be in a Broncos uniform now. He's a low risk gamble and I had previously hoped that we'd draft him so I'm all for it.
