Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

I say we sign Shaun Alaxander to split carries with Selvin. We could get him cheap untill Torain comes, I know its hes pretty much shot but I say we bring him in and have him pound in his last few yards and tire defenses down then bring selvin in and let him light it up.
Thoughts
The problem with Alexander is he's a big back that doesn't run like one. He'd be terrible in our system because he lacks burst and doesn't run with real power. He has good vision, but he prefers to pick his way along and hesitates waiting for holes to open. The one-cut ZBS needs a guy willing to make a split second decision to put his foot in the ground, make one cut, and get upfield with power - Alexander has never run this way.
Truthfuly, Im like Ehhhhhhh.
Thought about signing him at times. This is one of those areas where Im with the coaches if they feel him as a good fit, or with them if they feel him not. I'll leave this one to the people who's jobs depend on those decisions!.....Ehhhh!
Personaly on another note, I kinda wanted them to grab Mcdougle from Philly.
Alexander has a reputation for being soft and avoiding any sort of contact like it is AIDS. Bringing him in to "pound out the yards" is like using a spoon to try and cut a steak.
Plus, Hall has looked good on short yardage situations, and we have pittman and hillis. We're good
Eddie Mac, The example every Bronco should try and live up to!
One way or another I would have picked another decent back to keep our boys competitive until Torain is "healthy" again. I would let Pittman go. Too many question marks at that position. At best, we are average.
Alexander is washed up...i can't believe there's another thread about signing Alexander...we had dozens of those when he was first released by Seattle...HE WAS RELEASED FOR A REASON!!!
only hard working backs who are willing to put there head down and knock some one over for them extra yards will be good in our system. look at selvin his is more of a elusive back but when he needs them extra yards he puts his head down and he goes even if it is just one extra yard that could make all the difference bewteen a first down and a turn over so as for shaun alexander i say let someone else have him i want torain to be our back he is the next TD
