and you see him roll through his progressions until he sees someone open then
he delivers the ball right on target...

But how much of the accuracy is because he doesnt have to drop back? I dont
really know... But I'd like to believe if his biggest problem is dropping back, then
    he should be alright.
I think Chase Daniel will enter the league as a back up, then surprise people when he becomes a starter for a team. The thing is, if he was 3-4 inches taller, we would be talking about him as a top 15 pick. But because he's what 5'11, 6', teams will be hesitant about taking him early. Its a shame because I really think he has the talent but look at Troy Smith in Bmore. If he was 3-4 inches taller he would have been a 2nd rounder, instead he falls to the 5th round. If he didnt get sick during the later part of pre season he would be starting for the Ravens.

I think someone takes Daniels as a flyer and he'll develop into a real good QB.

His height effects me less than the dropping back dilema does.

I could see it going that way for him or I could see him impressing at the combine
      and going earlier than predicted.

The Buckeyes .... The style of defense they play reminds me alot of the Broncos ...Drop the LB's back in pass coverage and nothing up front....Sure the Buckeyes had Vernon Gholston but losing both Jay Richardson and Quinn Pitcock to the draft severely hurt the Buckeyes in the middle right up the gut...The last two years it has showed when it matters the most ...

Marcus Freeman ...His reaction to plays is outstanding ....He reads and reacts....Great tackler,Does everything you could ask a LB to do in pass coverage...Teams have been able to exploit the Buckeyes knowing this is exactly where Freeman,Jenkins will be in zone coverage...He reminds me of a DJ Williams mold....With less bulk....Freeman's key weakness is shedding blocks...and lack of being Nasty..Bulk

James Laurinaitis....Laurinaitis can take on blocks/shed and still make the tackle (assist) better then any LB in seen in years.....However with that I have noticed what I think is a flaw in his game ....He has a tendency to move side to side during running plays reading to much and not a quick enough attack type reaction...I think he got this way knowing that on all plays a OL/TE/FB will be coming to block him...Oblivislouly I'm very much a fan of both of these players no matter where you stand with them it is near impossible to question their work ethic ...I have always favored Freeman more ...I think his draft value is great at the 2nd round and think he could slip further down....With Laurinaitis guaranteed to be a first round draft pick...

Right now I'm really interested in seeing their true combine height...I think Both of these players can play MLB/OLB at the pro level and would have a game very very similar to DJ Williams..It will be interesting to scout these guys vs Wisconsin this week.... When both was took to the Shed against USC...Wisconisn has a great OLine,RB,TE and must run the ball to win...

        Marcus Freeman

        James Laurinaitis Vs USC

In this video you will see both of the descriptions I used when explaining my thoughts on him...I added this after I wrote the post ...

The Broncos are set on the outside, IMO, so if we are looking at LB's, we are looking at MLB's.

Laurainatis (sp?) could slip a bit to the bottom of the first round. His lateral quickness is a concern, IMO. He just looked slow against USC.

He scares me...I hate those 'hype' type of players.

i am changing my mock up a little, after watching our Dt's more closely its clear they are doinga solid job. i do not think that Dt is a fisrt rd need anymore. i actaully think safety is a first rd need after watching manuel and mcree look very very very very very mediocre.

this is very true. boss is showing some better things, and DJ is starting to make plays like he should. webster is the only non long term answer, but even he came around last game, I dont think niko will ever see the field as a MLB here, he just isnt fast like we really want. he is fundementally sound, but he doesnt react like nate does, the big knock on nate is he reacts to much and as a result misses plays. this last sunday he didnt do that, so hopefully he builds off that.

with larsen playing very well at FB, we could see him and hillis there for a long time which would mean we need depth at MLB. taking a rd 2 MLB would be smart, because we may not need a guy to come in right away and start....

The only thing that will hurt James Laurinaitis top ten status ...sliding him into the lower part of the 1st...

Will be maybe his height...I have no doubt at all he will shred at the combine....

Pick 2... I dont like all that much... I want the nastiest.. All American MLB the Broncos can draft not from the Big East though...Hopefully from the SEC,Big 10,USC.....

Pick 3 I like Hypolite but question his 3rd round value at this time....

I like this draft better too. I'm not sure on Mckillop, don't know too much about him. I know he's a tough guy though, so I'm fine with it.

I will be the first to admit that I do not know much about the players you listed. However, seeing how a major part of Jarvis' problems is the fact that his weight is still around 245-250, I would not want any more DE's that are perceived light.

fair enough, the difference between the DE's i want and jarviss moss is the way there body is designed they are good height and have a good build to get stocky. in fact if you see both guys now they are the same size as engleberger. add ten lbs and we are looking at the same size as ekuban. they dont have a skiny lanky problem like moss has. and currently both DE's are much much stronger than Moss. i think 260 coming out of college is perfect as long as you have the build to gain about 10-15, both the guys i want have that frame. jarvis doesnt and thats why he has such issues right now as a 4-3guy. he simply is getting overpowered.

also the knock on the DE's i want is not them being light its that one plays at oregon, and one plays at NIU...lol

pick 2 i like mckillop because he is just that nasty, right now he is playing nastier and producing more than any MLB in the pac ten, or big ten, and besides beckwith in the SEC i dont see any 2nd rd lbs i would want. this guy is a player staright up and he has great speed. i have personally watched him lay a guard and center on there butts at one time. the guy is a player and would do great for us. and i do not think MLB is a bigger need than safety at this point. our safties suck we have no talent there. and while webster isnt the next coming of al wilson he is starting to work much better with the rest of the front seven.

the safties are working with anyone they suck.

as for hypolite he is a 3rd rd pick, and the combine will solidfy him there. he wont rise because his production has been down a little, but he should make the third round just fine.

doubters of mckillop, he already has been named Big east impact player of the week 2 times ,and he has been named the national defensive player of the week 2 times. he also just won the Bronco nagurski defensive player of the week. they just upset #10 USF and he had 12 tackles, 2 sacks, 3 TFL and 1 FF all against a top ten team, the guy can play he is a beast. and very nasty.

here is his seaon stat line----

                        5 games playd, 52 tackles, 9 for loss, 3 sacks, 3 PD, 1 FF

                          Good stuff....

I watched that game vs USF...Im not a fan of that Pitt team and the Big East this year...Maybe I could be misjudging him...I do have my favorites...The 2nd round value you have him at makes the pick overall look good also by going S/LB..

I like the idea of Spikes in the 2nd round.

i dont think there is a good chace spikes makes it to round 2, when all is said and done and the combine goes through, i think spikes will be the third LB taken off the board.

                            1. Rey from USC
                            2. Curry from Wakeforest
                            3. Spikes from Florida
                            4. Beckwith from LSU
                            5. laurinitas from ohio state
                            6. cushing from USC

                            just my opinion though

i think its smart to takle a MLB in teh second rd, because safety really is a dire need right now in my opinion. Eberlle from georgia is another option in the second rd and daniel holtzclaw is a great option in the 3rd rd......so we have some options with regard to LB. the 2 positions we shouldnt sit on our CB and safety

Thats not a bad list at all..I would be happy with 4 out of 6... Having Laurinatis at #5 indicates that maybe you think he will slip to the tail end of the first round..I would be happy with both Laurinatis/Cushing as first round selections..I believe that Laurinitas will go before Moore....Also looking at this list it puts Scott Mckillop in the 2nd round as well..I believe Safety is the biggest need also..I think the Broncos will have a good chance at drafting Moore and Myron Rolle...Good comparison between the two because FS/SS which position does the Broncos need...."Moore"

A player to watch for that will fit in around the 4-6 range of the draft is Mich St SS Otis Wiley...He is a pure SS with good tackling ability and comes up well against the run...

Watching him the main question I have of him... is can he deliver the big hit at the NFL level...

                              :edit:
I was unaware that Moore was the starting SS for Mizzou I thought he played FS
