I think Worrell can be a starter from the first game next season for us after all he is competing with Nate Webster and Niko neither of them are a above average MLB.

Please forgive me my behavor. When I posted those to call replys I musted addmit i wasnt thinking with a clear head. Some things happened and it put me in bad mood and I was taking it out on everyone including my family. So Im sorry.

But please Everyone knows where your opinion and feelings are at. Its clearly on draft MLB in the first with the intent to draft Spikes. We all got it but please dont keep posting in each thread that mentions LBs about Spikes. You clearly have started the Spikes banwagon. Which is clear that Im not on.

Lets say Spikes does come out this year. Im not sold on him being a first round draft pick because I see many flaws in his game right now. But lets say he slips to the second I would be more than glad to trade up for him.

If he says in school, I would probably sitting right next to you on the banwagon next year.

I like Worrell as well, I think the MLB out of Georgia will be solid as well.

Trey Blackman is only a junior, and because of his injury this year I see him staying in school.

McKillop would be a very nice addition at MLB. Tackling machine, great instincts. Don't think he fits the "late round MLB" tag, though.

I think safety is the biggest need for us so, I'd like to go MLB in the second or third round, I like: Darry Beckwith from LSU, Dannell Ellerbe Georgia, Jasper Brinkley from South Carolina, and Scott McKillop Pitt in those rounds.

Philistin, McKillop and Holtzclaw would be mid(3rd-4th)round possibilities. Palmer, Williams and Mauga would be late(5th-6th)round options and Rivera, Christopher, Horineck and Mortensen would be 7th round/CFA pick-ups.

With the numerous needs our team has, I would rather we took a MLB with one of our 5th round picks or possible our 6th round pick. I think we could get a solid player that could compete for the starting job and excel for us. I also don't think we go early at MLB because of the amount of money we've already spent on our LB corp.

Jason Phillips of TCU will be one of the best MIKEs from this entire draft. Mark it down.

He'll go anywhere from the late 3rd to the Mid-6th depending on workouts, which he should do well in.

If you want a steal of the draft as a MIKE, its this guy. No doubt.

Brinkley would have been a late 1st early 2nd round pick last year but hurt his knee and decided stay in school to heal up before coming out this year.

We need a Safety in the 1st unless Mays and Moore are off the board then we need to go with Spikes or Laurinaitis if one of them are still around.
Absolutely agree. Although, he is about 265 now (no fat at all on this guy's body) and probably runs closer to a 4.65. This guy hits like a freight train! He will probably be around early day 2... would have been 1st or 2nd round if he had come out in 2006.

Also, I wouldn't be opposed to drafting a big time DT to clog up the middle. Go look at the best defenses in the NFL - they all have bad ass DT's.

this is probably the only thing I've ever agreed with you on. Our LB corps is our strength of the defense. We have about 5-6 capable starting Linebackers when we only have to start 3....we're deep at the position and I think that we really need a safety in the first couple of rounds. We haven't had a ball-hawk safety in YEARS!!! Then after safety, our next priority (IMO) is Defensive Tackle. Followed by DE.

I didn't mention Spikes at all in this thread, actually you brought him up, so I don't know why you are complaining. Nothing to see here, move along...

I like Phillips, and among non first round ILB prospects i have him second...
Only behind Brinkley who I think is an absolute BEAST, although he is a 2nd
                        to third round prospect.

i think phillips and holtzclaw will be great MLB's in the pros next year

Phillips=John Lynch+15 pounds and i bet gaining more when he gets to the nfl

I still want Laurinaitis in the first. He would be my first choice for the team and I think MLB is a huge need for Denver. If we can get some D-line help in FA, Laurinaitis would be perfect for me.
