What do you think about drafting a FS like Moore or Mays and picking up fa K.Kennedy? Not a great cover guy but at SS we want him punishing guys and from what i recall he was a big hitter, got the odd pick, and is an upgrade from what we currently have. Pretty sure we drafted him and the reason he left was for bigger dollars and we were tight to the cap.

I would love Mays in the first, not to big on william moore because from what ive seen from him he is injury prone.
and instead of Kenoy i would rather us pursure Oshiomogho Atogwe from the ramssigpic
Thanks Sporting4life!
Welcome to Denver Von Miller!!

I'd rather address the LBs/d-line first. This is a deep safety class and we should take advantage of that. Also I think Shanny should play Josh Barrett so we know how many safeties to draft.Comment

Mays has an insanely low football IQ. He's going to put up freakish combine numbers, garner a high draft pick, and then not make an impact on the football because he has an inability to read the flow of the game.Comment

To be honest, other than Moore in his JR season, none of this drafts safeties are all that good. I'm not sure Moore should go in the 1st round either.
And a big fat F' no to the Kennoy Kennedy and his 4.8 speed, he sucked when he was here the first time.......Comment

In terms of a drafted safety, why not Myron Rolle. He's a Rhodes scholar, good football IQ, Fast, Likes to lay the big hit. And is either a late first rounder or second round pick.Who wants a moustache ride?

Rolle is a good Safety I have him rated on the top of my list in the Safety class. Followed by Mays. Ive seen Most of Mays games cus i live on the west coast. He still needs at least one more year of maturation. He's been a ball hound but he does blow coverage in passing to try to make a big play and thus get burned on by oppsing WR. I still think he benifits from the SC front seven thus making him higher in the rankings when it comes to the safety class.Last edited by BroncoKazuki; 11-19-2008, 12:46 AM.McDaniles Career as a failure of a Head Coach is being fulfilled. Rejoice Bronco Fans we have taken our team back, but at a heavy cost.Comment

Once again, for the 1000th time,
THE SAFETIES IN THIS DRAFT CLASS ARE COMPLETELY OVER-RATED!!!!!
You would only take William Moore and Taylor Mays in the first round, and Mays could very easily stay at USC for his SR year. Still, you would be drafting Mays on his measureables, which are off the charts. Moore is like Kenny Phillips was in that he is getting discounted, but is going to be a very good Pro.
Myron Rolle has not played like a first round prospect. He may have the numbers athletically, but he has not been impressive this season, certainly not as a first rounder.
After that, there is a big dropoff.
The Broncos already invested in an big athlete with great testing numbers in
Josh Barrett, don't you have to see what he becomes?
I would sign Miami S Yeremiah Bell in free agency, and look to add another through the draft at some point.
Players like Alabama's Rashard Johnson, Wake Forest's Chip Vaughn and USC's Kevin Ellison have better value in the 2nd to 4th round areas.
But the bottom line is, you are going to have to sift through alot of rubble to find the gems in this Safety class, as was the case last year.Comment

I think our best route is to sign a FA Safety who is strong in the box like Jermaine Phillips and then in the 2nd round go after Derek Pegues, he has unbelieveable range can eliminate the deep ball. He is also not afraid to lay the lumber, reminds me a little of Bob Sanders, a little undersized but a football player!Comment

I think Emmanuel Cook is the best safety nobody is really talking about. I see him as a second rounder and I think he could develop into a stud at the next level.Comment

This is what we should do. Go after a hard hitting LB like Rey Maualuga or the guy i think is the best LB in this draft James Laurinaitis. We are most likely gonna trade with someone to get a better draft pick to get one of these guys. Depending on if we play a 3-4 or 4-3 next year that could be a great LB core. Dj Williams, Webster(if we sign him back and doesnt get beat by winborn or woodyard for starting job), Rey/James, and Boss Bailey. That would just be an incredible have. And in the early second we go after Rolle!! This guy is the anwser to our safety problems. I've watched this guy play FSU and this guy is just lights out. He got the speed, hits people like they stole something from him, the body, and the most important part is he is smart. Thats how you form a good team with not just talented players but smart football players off and on the fields. With Rolle and Marlon Mcree( which i think is better then what he is showing us right now) will be a good safety combo.Last edited by Murph2432; 11-19-2008, 10:26 AM.Comment
