Gobble, gobble...
1.) (15) FS Taylor Mays-USC 6'3"-228
I am hoping he can't resist the $$$, and declares. I would take William Moore here as an alternative if Mays is not available or stays at USC. Mays is going to be the better Pro, IMO, so he is the choice, as images of Dennis Smith flash through my mind...maybe he should wear #49 too...

2.) RB James Davis-Clemson 5'11"-215
Tough, between the tackles runner that runs bigger than his size. Durable. A very good selection in the second round; will be gone by the third. Has more versatility than players like Shonn Greene, and is truly reminiscent of Terrell Davis in some ways. Lofty praise, and he has to prove he can reach the same heights TD did, but he is definitely cut from the same cloth. Love this kid as a pro tailback. He is made for the NFL game.
second string: RB Shonn Greene, Iowa, S Michael Hamlin, Clemson
3.) WR Jordan Shipley-Texas. 6'0"-195
Perfect add-on to the offense, gives the Broncos a slot receiver to fill Stokley's shoes, and in the meantime is an effective kick returner. Just a smart, heady player, in the Stokley, Wes Welker, Greg Camarillo mold. These kind of guys are invaluable to a football team, as they can help you in multiple ways.
second string: DE Kyle Moore, USC, WR Manuel Johnson, OKlahoma
4.) SS Kevin Ellison-USC 6'1"-230
I simply draft the USC safeties, and plug them in as starters. They are hands down the best pair in the country, having been beat deep ONLY ONCE this entire season. Read the lastest issue of ESPN the Magazine's article on them; it's great stuff. Ellison is the perfect player to compete with Josh Barrett, and Mays starts from Day One. If you draft the pair, you also get the chemistry they have from playing together.
second string: OLB Morty Ivy, West Virginia
5.) a (From Sea) I have read that this pick will be the compensation for
the Keary Colbert trade, so I am going on that assumption.
DT George Hypolite, Colorado 6'0 1/2" -293.
I think George is going to slip a bit from the season Colorado has had...but Seattle will select early in the fifth.
5.) RB Gartrell Johnson-Colorado St 6'0"-232
Enough of the problem's at RB. Johnson fits the general mold of mid-round RB's that have succeeded in the NFL. A muscular, physical runner, and when paired with Davis would give us incredible depth, and we need that as much as anything.
6.) This pick will most likely be sent to the NY Jets to complete the trade for DT Dewayne Robertson.
7.) (From ATL/Foxworth trade) CB Deandre Wright-New Mexico 5'11"-193
Maybe he can conjur up images of another Bronco CB named Wright...
