  • Players you want to stay? Ones you want gone?

Please just name players you want gone and players you want to stay.

PLAYERS TO STAY = The whole offensive line, Cutler, Bailey(we should get some young cbs and champ will be great for the young dudes) Marshall, Royal, Shefler and Dj WIlliams.

PLAYERS IM NOT SURE ABOUT = Ekuban, Dumervil, Stokely and Pratter

PLAYERS THAT MUST GO = Dre Bly and Bell(The CB), along with everyone else i didnt mention. :salute!:

In the Draft or free agency i would like to get better pass rushers, a young CB and young talented RB's.

RB: Torain, Hillis, Pittman stay, Young, Hall, Bell out

The rest of the offense needs to be retained minus Darrell Jackson.

On defense, honestly I think now is a good time to trade DJ, if he has any substantial value. I honestly think Woodyard will be better than him. We should also keep Jamie Winborn. Boss and Nate Webster I don't really mind either way, but we need upgrades over them if possible. On the defensive line, we need an overhaul. Marcus Thomas is probably the one keeper. Give Jarvis Moss next year's training camp and see where he stands. For Dumervil I think he will play out his rookie contract and then he will walk, he is clearly a situational pass rusher and a liability against the run and not worth big bucks. I think we should retain Bly and Bailey and let Williams and Bell develop. Blow up the S position and start over, keeping only Josh Barret.

Keep Brett Kern, but dump Prater.

I'm thinking it's going to be a defense-heavy draft, especially now that we will have a new coaching staff. I think one of our high picks should be spent on an RB but other than that we will probably be best served investing all other picks on the defensive side.

I agree with everything you said. Test the trade waters with DJ, but be very reluctant to trade unless the deal is too much to pass up. Also, the draft should feature all defense besides a RB in the first 3 rounds. Hopefully we find a way to sway another first day pick, this draft is full of players who can come in and contribute first year.

Pretty much same as everybody else has said, though I'm not ready to get rid of Prater yet.

Btw...I'm pretty excited to see the offense grow especially with an addition of a game changing/workhorse runningback.

The WR corps is really talented and can't wait to see them get even better.
Cutler to Marshall, Royal, Stokley, and Chad Jackson - I love it! And add Scheffler and Graham to it....beautiful!

Hell no DJ stays here. He and Doom are the only basically playing out there. Hes a top 5 WLB. As for Doom, he needs a DT like all DEs do.

Doom gets blown up on running plays. He is not THE solution.

              Defensively we should hold onto:

Marcus Thomas, Jarvis Moss, maybe Doom but only for passing downs, Carlton Powell (gotta see how the guy turns out, right?)
              DJ, Woodyard, Larsen
All the cornerbacks. With an improved pass rush, they would look a lot better.
              Josh Barrett.

Everyone else is expendable. Players I really want to see gone:

Webster, McCree, Manuel, Robertson -- they were our problem children

Also, the Niko deal needs to be restructured because the guy is valuable on special teams, but useless as a linebacker.

Are we talking about starters? Or just the 53 man in general.

Anyway, I agree with you.........the offense is fine..keep them all besides Tatum Bell......don't expect Ekuban, McCree, or Darrell Jackson back because their 1-year deals are up at the end of the season.

On defense we keep Champ, Elvis, Dre Bly, Wesley Woodyard, and DJ Williams.........clean house :salute!:

Are you nuts? Lose Graham? Hell no he's the one getting the players pumped before the game and is a solid blocker. We'll keep Dre who is good when the QB doesn't have 20 seconds to throw (duh).
Josh Bell is young and can learn from Champ and Dre. We will also keep Barrett and prob Vernon Fox.

yea but hes not a red zone target thats why we get rid of him to get 6'8'' Chase Coffman from Mizzou in the 4th round and Josh Bell just sucks period hes terrible he got burnt on out routes with no extra moves maybe keep Dre but idk he has to come up big

wow this one is sooo easy..... the ENTIRE DEFENSE. its the players and has nothing to do with coaches. The D-line look like theyrs trying to get through a brick wall or at least thats the effort they show. Elvis Dumervil plays with heart but hes too small. Get some guys in there that will play with heart and have a passion for the game. ex. Ray Lewis. Dont see many of those guys. Bailey and Bly are way overrated. They were good in there younger years but ever since bailey has come in to town hes not shown us anything other than how many times he can get burnt deep. Get rid of this abomination that we call a defense. Keep everyone else.

are you nuts!? bailey hasnt shown us anything? the reason he doesnt have the stats is because they dont throw his way unless the qb has 20 seconds to stand there and wait for a wr to come open. no cb in the game can keep a wr covered that long.
keep the offense as is except lose hall, young, pope, and darrell jackson. defense needs an ovehaul starting with the dline and safties.

Those that are calling for Josh Bell to be cut should wait and see what he can do when he doesn't have a DC making him play 15 yards off the WR. In fact, most of the defense, minus: Webster, Mcree and Manuel can stay. Those 3 are trash. Everyone else was not allowed to play up to their potential and strengths. EXAMPLE: Dumervil and Moss being made to bullrush on virtually every play, which is laughable, instead of using their superior speed and quickness. Under an different DC, things might be different.

We have Sheff for the red-zone.
Graham is like an extra tackle out there for us.
Don't fix something if it's not broken

And Josh Bell will stay, I can't remember what game but he played excellent in it. His only bad game was against SD, and they have good receivers and he played 10 yards off the receiver. Don't be so ignorant when you post and don't judge some one by one game.
