Two different positions but who knows maybe get Cody in the second round and get a young front 3 to our D that has size and strength (or at least 2 of the 3) to replace Thomas and Peterson who switched to the position from our old scheme.

I think Berry is a great player and a great option but not as good of option as maybe McCoy or Tebow (i like him ha) or Bradford. I say this because of Dawkins, Hill, and Bruton, along with 2 other young guys who could possibly grow into the position.

I like the idea of a QB although I think its even more unlikely than this trade because of McD and his thoughts on him. HOWEVER, I wish we did have a chance at either of those guys. McCoy, obviously an accurate passer but I would say is scary with his harm strength and size. Tebow is a winner, just maybe not an NFL QB right off the back (more work later), and who knows how Bradford is going to be able to bounce back from surgery.

I really think it will be interesting to see how the QB's will show in rankings after the combine.
Tebow will be an infinitely more successful QB than McCoy.

    • And I should appologize, i read through your post about a possibly gerald mcCoy and for some odd reason thought you were talking about the second pick (thinking you meant the QB because he'd be available then).

But Gerald is about the same size and technique, Suh has just got more attention.

        I believe this too...

Just not as brave to put this out there :salute!:

        • I think Peterson and Thomas were horrible when we needed them late in the season. We need a better DE and a better NT to rotate with Fields. But I'm against giving away too much for one player and also consider the kind of salary he will receive.

I'll mark those words. Because there isn't anything I see from Tebow that would make me believe he can pass accurately in the NFL to be successful there.

Yeah, but is he worth it if he has similar success like his college career? I don't think there is quite as much chance for a player being a bust as a DL or OL in the top 10 rather than QB's or skilled players.

But I'm glad you agree about the DE. We gotta get some guys that can fit DE NT DE in our new system, we just don't have them.

Rams obviously need help, probably more than just a good draft season to come back from a 1-15 season. I wonder if it be possibly for McD, Chris, and gang to talk these guys for their 1st.

Brandon Marshal, Hillis, Scheftler and either Kuper, Hoch, Lower draft pick (3, or 4).

We'd get a 1st NT in SUH (obviously better than Cody), still have our 10/11 for another. Personally i'd like to go big and get McClain still but people would probably say go for Dez since you got rid of Marshall and you have DJ and Andre
Other thoughts on the 2nd pick is Dunplap DE at 293 (need a big DE and pierre at 263 just may not be it) or maybe Davis at OT.

My thoughts are that our recievers did alright, not good, alright when marshal is not in there. I think we could wait for a 2 or 3 for a wr for replacement with the current crew (maybe) ha.

Kind of crazy, but tonight, i just felt like going there. Thoughts?
Look at the value for the players you are offering, Scheffler and Hillis combined are worth maybe a sixth (and that's pushing it), nobody wanted Scheffler when we tried trading him last year, when he had better stats. Hochstein I believe we got for a 7th, and that's only because McDaniels knew him, he's 32 and a career backup. These three guys would be nothing more than throw ins.

The real value would be in Marshall and Kuper, Marshall would be worth a first, but who knows if he will actually get that much, and Kuper is probably worth a 3rd. Since the other guys aren't worth anything the trade would essentially be the 1st overall pick for Marshall, Kuper and a third. We would have to throw in our first as well to even get the Rams to consider it.
