He plays alot like Webster in the fact that the mistakes he makes are the same ones that Webster has made all year.

Maualuga will be a very good 3-4 ILB, but to put him above others because of his "youtube highlights" is a stupid and childish way to go about judging a college player because all you see is the "big hits" that he actually connects with but you don't get shown all the piss poor plays they make because the person making the video is a homer for that player and whats you to think they are the best ever.

If Raji, Everette Brown, and Maybin are all off the board by our pick I hope we take Rey but I would take any of the above before using a pick on a 3-4 ILB.

go look at websters highlights so we can compare. I bet he has a bunch of sweet ones of his helmet falling off.

Nate Webster couldn't hold Rey's jock strap even if Rey wanted him to. Nate will be gone next year anr Rey will be commanding the center of our D get used to it...

People compare him to webster because he can sometimes miss tackles, he overruns plays and is sometimes inconsistant. All things that can be coached. However, Webster could only wish he had reys athletic ability and size. I would not want Rey at MLB in a 4-3 because of his inconsistancies, but in a 3-4 he would be a beast. He has the physical tools to flat out dominate a game, and at ILB his weaknesses are less of a factor. You better believe he's on denvers radar with the 12th pick.

Picking up Reywill be a waste of a first rounder. Our biggest need is a pass rushing Olb. The good olbs are in the first round, we can get an ilb in the later rounds, and I like dj and larsen in the middle.

Words cannot describe how bad I want him to come to Denver, but i'm worried Cleveland or Buffalo will take him..

I think he is pretty good! We need a guy that offensive players fear. I would be afraid of him!
              This is fail.

Maualuga is SLOW. He OVERPURSUES plays. MISSES easy tackles. LEADS with his HEAD. CANNOT CONTAIN HIS GAP. LIABILITY in COVERAGE.

Dude, we HAVE a MLB that does those things already. We're letting him walk, aren't we? So lets go draft ANOTHER overrated linebacker! And hey, THIS time? We'll give him TWICE as much money as Webster! HOOOOOORAAAAAAY!

I love the ESPN/media hype machine. There are probably 20 linebackers in the country better than Maualuga...but they don't play for USC, have a cool last name, or those curly locks do they?

              Ugh.

No, I'm sorry. Terrell Davis did not have a good career at Georgia. His coach hated him, and he was often injured.

Thanks for playing. Which team are you really a fan of?

there's a reason he will go in the top 20, and its not because of the "espn hype machine". If you think he's overrated fine, but your blatent dislike for him does nothing but cloud your judgement....

i deffinatley dont like larsen in the middle...but i do feel like theres more possible free agent inside linebackers then there are pass rush olb so i say we draft some1 like everette brown if we plan on picking up a quality inside linebacker nothing against rey he looks really good but we may need a pass rush olb

I hope we don't get brown, 10 of his sacks came in three games (or something) Sintim would make much more sense

Im begining to think DJ may be better suited at OLB, not as a everydown passrusher, but more in the mold of shaun Phillips. He has the speed and athleticism to get to the QB plus it allows him to work in space and use that athleticism in pursuit or in zone coverage.

i believe the majority of mario williams sacks came in one or two of his games the year he got drafted..hows he doin nowadays?

my B-L-A-T-A-N-T dislike for him comes from the fact that he is overrated. He has a great D around him, and that allows him to make the highlight plays. I've never seen a blown gap assignment or a missed tackle make the news.

                              Maualuga = Webster?.......Seriously?.......

You guys can't just regurgitate what these scouting reports say and expect people to take you seriously.......

Well is there one on there that makes him look like a bigger Nate Webster: overrunning the play, out of postion, missing tackles because he is trying to lay the wood and not focusing on making a good tackle, they both play about the same except Webster is a more vocal leader which is what we need where as Maualuga is a quiet lead play example player like DJ and Champ.
compare Rey to Nate what your crazy fool its true Rey sometimes gets a lil to hyped and he overruns the play but thats just a habbit coachs can help him get over it and hes alot more physicaly gifted athlete then Nate could ever be his a big pressance reminds me a lot of Al Wilson if he can correct his habbit of going for the big hit and just get the tackle
