Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Rey Maualuga's most punishing hits... as of now. Also included: an interception ran in for a touchdown, but it was called back because Idaho's Stanley Franks'...
Well is there one on there that makes him look like a bigger Nate Webster: overrunning the play, out of postion, missing tackles because he is trying to lay the wood and not focusing on making a good tackle, they both play about the same except Webster is a more vocal leader which is what we need where as Maualuga is a quiet lead play example player like DJ and Champ.

Did Nate Webster lead one of the best Defenses in the Nation. NOPE, I didn't think so! Wow, you guys are kind of slow.
He didn't lead them...
Look at the talent on USC.
I could of played MLB for them and still would of had one of the best defenses in the league.
exactly thats why you need to spend alot more time looking at players from USC because all of them are good and they make eachother look much better than they are.
Success at the college level doesn't guarantee NFL success. I would like to see him in Denver though.
That is true, but how many players have you seen not have success in college, but did in the NFL? Other then Matt Cassel for one season. He is a beast. Did you see how quickly he closed on the UCLA QB?

Tom Brady
Terrell Davis
Deacon Jones
Bo Jackson
Shannon Sharpe
Larry Wilson
Roger Staubach
All were chosen in the 6th or past round of NFL draft.

So then look at Pittsburghs defense. They have so many good players that they make eachother look much better than they are.
You add someone with his aggression and emotion on the field I guarantee we get better. You just hate USC so you don't like their players.

Did they not have success in their college careers? Oh, I think they might have had a little success! Just because you were drafted late means you had no success in college?
a bigger nate webster? Are you seriously comparing Rey to Nate Webster? come on now.
I wouldn't have posted it if I wasn't serious.
He plays alot like Webster in the fact that the mistakes he makes are the same ones that Webster has made all year.
Maualuga will be a very good 3-4 ILB, but to put him above others because of his "youtube highlights" is a stupid and childish way to go about judging a college player because all you see is the "big hits" that he actually connects with but you don't get shown all the piss poor plays they make because the person making the video is a homer for that player and whats you to think they are the best ever.
If Raji, Everette Brown, and Maybin are all off the board by our pick I hope we take Rey but I would take any of the above before using a pick on a 3-4 ILB.

I like USC and I have alot of respect because of how they compete every year, I am just not a USC homer so I can look at their players objectively which you can't seem to grasp
