  • To The Mockers.....

Although there are many predictions I would not want to bet on when it comes to mock drafts......I must take a moment to salute the avid fans of the Draft, Trades and Free Agency section for keeping it interesting!!:salute!:

Although I made light of the fact in another thread that we (as a large group) are not that accurate, based on last year's performance, and sometimes we get off course in adulation of a player that turns out to be a semi-bust (or worse)....this is still a very solid place to get the low down on the college scene, and how it all may intertwine with the NFL.

In fact, thanks to many of the star mockers here (Cane, MUG, Max and many, many more - sorry for not including all of you), I got a solid education last year that certainly influenced my views. As a result, I started to watch for and listen to what the experts were saying about some of the guys mentioned here. And because I don't watch enough college ball (too busy with all the sports, including Canadian Football) I feel I am lucky to just drop in, and within a month or so, have a nice sized inventory of players that I can relate to without even watching many of the games. It's like the Coles Notes of college ball.

Sure I am more dedicated to what some of the experts are saying, like Mike Mayock, but it's the combined knowledge that comes from their insights and reading from this site, that makes me a much better analyst...providing me with a well researched list of who is out there, and where they may end up going.

So my hats off to what I call "The Mockers" for adding value to the experience gained by being a BC member.

Thanks for defending me amidst all those nasty Canadian jokes......eh??

I try to do my best, even if I'm just a dumb hockey puck, with a beer in my hand everywhere I go......

Actually Obama is coming to Canada in mid February, his first external country visit. I believe his mission is to try to understand why we canucks are doing so well, even with our low IQ's. I can save him a trip........It's the beer and the beautiful Canadian women!!!.....

now you may want to ask the Canadian females what they attribute it to......

Thanks DB...It should not matter that you are Canadian, not like I look at your country and say "they are not Americans", sometimes people forget that Canada and it's providences are still part of North America! I still believe, avidly infact that Canada should have some NFL teams, whether or not the NFL involves the CFL or starts from scratch...

We're all amateurs, and it shows every year, but we do occasionally pull a rabbit out of a hat every now and then.

Just would like to throw this out there that Cameron Wake, who lead the CFL in sacks the last 2 years will prove to be a very good pick up for the Dolphins.
Welcome to the team 2010 draft picks

Hey Ottawa Canuck......my older sis and family have lived there for most of her life.....

Ya...the CFL has some great players, and it's sometimes luck or timing or some other factor that turns their Canadian days into NFL days. Warren Moon and Jeff Garcia are just two of the obvious fab players that made the transition.

I don't know. He dominated the CFL and if the Dolphins continue to get better and with the trash talker JP getting a lot of the attention I think Wake will do really well against right tackles in the NFL
