  • Pepper's Offseason Draft and FA(trades to hard to determine)

Personally i think we should go after either Peppers or Suggs, but i think the Ravens resign Suggs so we go after Peppers. Peppers can play either 43 or 34 and he loves denver plus he wants to be the star and we need a star on the defensive front seven.

    FA
    1. Julius Peppers-god given talent and an amazing player would improve the run and pass defense tremedously.
2.Derrick Ward-helps out the running back sitution giving us the stable lead back and another 1000 yard rusher.
3.Gabe Watson(4th round pick)- brings a solid NT that could start for us and he is still very young
4.Sean Jones or O.J. Atogwae both are playmakers and obvisiously we are lacking those at are saftey positions.
Prolly not goin to happen but this would be awesome!

    Draft
1.Everette Brown OLB- pass rusher opposite Peppers could be set for years to come
2.Rashard Johnson or Louis Delmas S-are safety were terrible last year so we need some more help at both FS SS
    3. Clay Matthews MLB- cheaper and dynamic player that didnt get too much spotlight and what i think should be a solid player for years
    4. James Davis RB-number 2 running back solidifies RB position 1-2 punch
    5. Mitch King DE-i have seen him play personally and hes a beast motor is constantly running very disruptive
6.Kenny McKinley WR- slot receiver could take the reins from Stokley ina few years
7.Roy Miller DE- a DT at Texas could play DE in 34 and be a solid role player
7.Louie Sakoda K-Prater is way inconsistent, Sakoda is consistent but not as strong of leg but the mile high air should help him anyways

Nice mock, bro. It's a little too expensive in the FA area, I think you should reconsider Peppers for maybe a guy like Canty, would fill a desperate need and would almost solidify our 3-4 front 3 w/ Thomas, Watson, and Canty (A lot of power and bulk).

In the draft, I like your first round selection, I'm guessing you are probably up for either Brown or Orakpo with our first pick.

In the second, I like the pick as long as we picked up Sean Jones via FA and not Atogwe. If we pick up Atogwe and you still want to address the opposing safety spot, Patrick Chung would be a wise choice to man the SS position.

Clay Matthews might, or might not, be there in the 3rd, but if he is, we obviously take him.

If we were to get Derrick Ward in FA, you better believe that the only other position we would think about addressing in the first 4 rounds would be center, so a guy like Antoine Caldwell would make a lot of sense rather than James Davis. With Hillis/Ward/Alridge/Torain you better believe we would have one of the most diverse, and talented, RB corps.

Love the Mitch King pick, it's always good to have a guy that is 100% heart on every down, I think his relentless work ethic could rub off on our guys. Great mock man, enjoyed reading. :go:

Clay Matthews played DE/OLB at USC. Not sure how he translates to MLB. But he's still a good pick. I would sub in Jasper Brinkley or Josh Mauga for James Davis though. Davis is just average IMO, and we could get a guy as good as him undrafted. Since you have us getting Ward, there's no need to draft a RB at all really.

i think Clay can adjust and be a playmaker but i also like Marcus Freeman i think he will be really good to and i also think he can adjust to the inside. He can rush the passer from the middle too.

DENVER HAS LITTLE TO ZERO CHANCE GETTING CANTY... Dallas is letting Tank Johnson walk and they'll probably let Marcus Spears sign somewhere else; DAL DL right now... Jay Ratliff (NT) & Canty (DE)... They have some viable backups at the DE spot... BUT, they wont let BOTH DEs go... Canty is clearly the better one... SO, Jerry Jones will certainly give him the money. Canty also likes DAL and knows they are close to SB worthy.

SO.... in essence... To have any shot to get Canty... he's going to cost BIG TIME bucks... Canty aint worth big time bucks... NO WAY you spend 10 mil a year on a guy like Canty.

Clay Matthews probably will be gone in the 2nd, but what might be possible is Matthews in the 2nd and William Moore in the 3rd. Nobody really knows where he'll go. We don't really need Ward and Davis as others have said. Love the Mitch King pick, he's my sleeper at DE. It's pretty good overall.

Either your "shift" key is broken or you use caps way to much. Dallas isn't going to have a lot of money to spend on their FA this offseason with Ware getting an Extension being a Main focus of the offseason and overpaying players such as Flozell Adams, Terrence Newman, and the expensive players such as Roy Williams, Terrell Owens, Romo, Barber and Witten. Even though Jerry Jones isn't shy in terms of spending money, the reality of the situation is, since he's overpaid for many of his players, he's going to have to let some go, and one victim of his overspending might be Chris Canty. Ware's contract extension will take precedence over Canty. Ware is going to get a ginormous contract, and Canty will be looking for a job elsewhere when Jones can't offer him the contract he deserves.

2010 is going to be an uncapped year...

This guy aint going nowhere. He LOVES Dallas, is very LOYAL to Jerry and the team. He'll get his money... trust me (I live in DAL).

There's absolutely no way Jones lets both DEs walk... They don't have much depth there. Ratliff and Canty is the hub of their DL next year.

They'll simply cut Roy Williams & TO if they have to... AGAIN, if DEN wants to pay Canty 10-16 million a year... sure, we might have a chance. But, you do not pay Canty like he's Haynesworth.

It's nice to dream... but why waste your time?

Peppers, on the other hand, might be a more realistic option.
