If we're looking for a guy to replace Stokley look at Jordan Norwood from Penn State.
He looks to be the perfect mold of a slot receiver, and if you saw that All State competition for draft prospects, you would've seen his hands are just absolutely phenominal.

2009 WR Core
Brandon Marshall
Eddie Royal
Brandon Stockley
Chad Jackson
Patrick Turner
that would be my dream WR core anyway
I totaly think he is a good number 2 reciever I'm a big eddie royal fan and have both his and marshalls jersey but I look at arizona and they had three awsome wideouts and I'm just taking into account the pass friendly offense were gonna have. I think there is gonna be another wideout here in denver. Out goes both jacksons. And stoke stays that third down reciever.

Or at very least, improved.
That would leave us free to pick up BPA w/our 1st pick. I don't think we'll suddenly improve to a top ten defense next year regardless of whom we sign; we just might realize our best hope is simply trying to outscore teams rather than stopping them.
I'm just saying that if Jeremy Maclin (WR, Mizzou) drops and is there at #12, I wouldn't be averse to us taking him. Imagine Marshall, Royal, Scheffler, Maclin, and Chad Jackson lined up in a 5 receiver set. Who has that many DBs to match up? We could even call them the Mile HIGH FIVE. With a healthy RB, THAT would be a scary offense. We could address other defensive needs (DE, LB, CB) in later rounds.

The only WR I want is Mike Thomas.
He's like a Steve Smith, and could take over the special teams game of Alridge doesn't work out (I'd prefer to keep Royal healthy).
We could probably nab him in the 4th round.

Given our poor defensive play and
possible scheme change our draft
focus should be on defense BUT
one wide receiver I would like to
see in a Broncos' uniform is:
Austin Collie, BYU
Height: 6-2. Weight: 206.
Projected 40 Time: 4.52.
Projected Round (2009): 4.
1/10/09: Arguably the best receiver in BYU history, Austin Collie has declared
a year early for the NFL Draft. Collie caught 106 passes for 1,538 yards and
15 touchdowns as a junior. He also returned kicks on a 27-yard average.
7/26/08: Despite missing two games, Austin Collie led BYU in receiving
yardage (946) and qualified for the All-Mountain West second team.
Collie was also solid as a return specialist.

If we are even going for a WR in this draft, I would like to see Jarred Dillard on day 2, he will be a nice bargain!

WR? No way. As someone already wrote, running back and center are our offensive needs.

Wow I'm suprised at the reaction of the posts. I mean teams needs is one thing and what a coach wants is totaly different I'm just suprised that no one else agrees that mcdaniels will go after a deep threat wideout. Te in first is funny tho and I was curious as of to the talent in the 12 spot at the wr position I don't think I suggested taking a wideout. I want rey/cushing/curry. Maybe raji however I don't think raji is as good as people say. But yah if there are no defensive playmakers available I'd go runningback er trade my pick.

LMAO at using a high pick on a WR, or even the thought of paying out a big contract for another WR.
That's as bad as the "TE with the first round pick" argument.

The only receiver I can see him replacing is Chad Jackson. He didn't want him in New England so I'm not sure he is going to want him here. Other than that, he MAY go to a 6 receiver rotation.
Anyways, my real point is that I'm pretty sure we played more spread and passed more than New England.

Agreed. Royan CAN be a deep threat but with his size he has to be an excellent route runner and have great hands to be our deep threat wich he prolly will but someone who can run fast has good hands and runs great routes.... Boldin
