Ron Brace will be gone by the time our 2nd round pick gets to us..We need Raji. If not, then idk we are pretty much screwed at NT this year.

Raji will not be there at our 12th pick!!!
I would be pumped if Raji was there at 12. I just don't see it happening. There are too many teams in front of us that are in need of a big DT. He is the one and only DT that has such a high rating. Also, how many teams would seriously trade up to grab him (hopefully including us).
I could see Raji going anywhere from picks 5-12.
-5th pick (Cleveland): They were 28th in rushing defense last season, Raji would be a great addition beside Shaun Rogers.
-6th pick (Cincinnati): They were 21st in rushing defense last season. Hell, they need much more help than the 6th round pick would give them, that is why I could see them trading away this pick to a team that wants to jump up and grab Raji.
-7th pick (Oakland): Well who knows with Al Davis. Seriously, is he smart enough to realize that his team was 31st in rushing defense? Probably not, but maybe Tom Cable is. They need Raji, but will probably draft Crabtree.
-8th pick (Jacksonville): We all know that their bread & butter is their defense that lacked that intensity last season. Is it because they traded away Marcus Stroud to Buffalo? What is the best way to fix that? Drafting B.J. Raji of course. Raji and Henderson side by side along with Derrick Harvey would put this defensive line in the upper echelon again.
-9th pick (Green Bay): They are also changing to a 3-4 defense this season. They would covet Raji at #9 and I do not see them passing on him. Especially when their run defense was 26th last season.
- 10th pick (San Francisco): I could also see them trading down if a team wants to jump up and grab Raji. They have needs all over the field including QB. They could trade down and draft Sanchez later on in the round and gain a pick or two.
- 11th pick (Buffalo): Offensive line, defensive line, Linebacker are all needs that they will look to address this offseason. If Raji is there at 11, could they pass on him?
To get Raji, we will need to trade up, possibly as high as the 6th spot to grab him.Last edited by VA BroncosFan; 02-24-2009, 06:39 PM.sigpicThanks to Freyaka for the sick Sig pic!!

we need ALL THE PICKS we can keep........so trading up is not an option IMO.
If Raji is taken before our pick......I would simply trade down and grab Ron Brace or James Laurinaitis.
I really want Raji.....but I dont think we can afford to give up picks when we're trying to rebuild our entire defense :salute!:

FA Targets: DT Jason Jones, DT Pat Simms, S Reggie Smith, LB Dan Connor

Cin needs Oline help badly, they don't pass on a T, same with oakland, very weak on Oline and WR. Russell was the worst QB last year due to lack of talent on that side. Tommy Kelly is getting 30m+ already as DT, they don't go DT.
GB doesn't need NT, same with Buf, SF needs a QB.
Yes...Raji will fall.....please let Cleveland keep Rogers (unless he wants to come to Denver)Last edited by broncos SB2010; 02-24-2009, 08:32 PM.sigpic

I don't get the man love with Brace. He played alongside the best DT in college football and that made him look much better than he is. He also has a bad back and trouble with putting on to much weight. Once you have back problems you ALWAYS have back problems.sigpic
