Just to reiterate. My intent was not to replace the receivers we have. But I was intending kind of a switch in imagination/reality. If we had Sam Hurd, Marvin Harrison, Joe Horn and Brandon Lloyd would we be better off, as an assemblage of talents?
The most pressing need at wide receiver seems to me, to have an old sure hand, a steady eddy, a smooth confident presence, old reliant. Sorry Eddie Royal is not steady. Reliable, productive, impressive, ect., yes. But he is not Steady Eddy. Steady Eddy is Steve Largent, Jerry Rice, Marvin Harrison, Bruce Isaac, Tory Holt. Daniel Graham is a Steady Eddy, but he´s a tight-end, who is not Jay Cutler´s prefered target.
If we had those four, instead of Brandon Marshal, Eddie Royal, Brandon Stokely and whoever number four is, would we be winning? Brandon Marshal and Eddie Royal are irreplacable, and they´ll be great, but what are we lacking in the presence department?

Yea, i'll take Brandon Marshall, Eddie Royal, Brandon Stokley, and Chad Jackson over those guys right now. We got the job done last year, too bad putting up 30+ points was required to even have a shot at winning last year because of the defense.
