Dj Williams brother just ran a 4.8 i believe in the 40. He wasnt expected to run real fast in the 40 anyways. what do you guys think of him? and where mgith he end up?

I always heard a lot of praise for him being really fast. running a 4.8 isn't that good considering Maualuga ran that fast injured. Im just throwing out a guess but id say late rounds 5th or 6th is when hel be drafted

I honestly don't have a clue how we could use him...

5-11, not that fast, ok weight...

Maybe to give D.J. company and so we have two sets of brothers on the team?

Seems like he's be good for special teams and depth I suppose.

He reminds me alot of Larsen, should be a solid SILB backup and a good ST player.

Except Williams is not a very good player, regardless of what he does athletically.

Zach Follet is a much better player from the same CAL team.

As an under-rated MLB, I am curious about the Florida Atlantic kid, Frantz...does anyone know how he tested?

Frantz wasn't even invited to the combine and looks like he wont even get drafted. He was a tackleing machine last year, but he is a little undersized for a 3-4 ILB at 230 LBs if I remember correctly.

Follet was the class of that Cal defense hands down the best player on it, but he is also undersized and raw but should be a real good value pick in round 3 or 4.

A guy that is on the rise right now, that is actually appearing to still be a 4th round pick is Jasper Brinkley. He's got the size (6'2" 252), speed (4.65-4.7) and power (27 reps) to be a great ILB next to DJ. He's a beast against the run. His only knock was his knee injury, and after his near-top performances in the 40 and vertical jump I think we can rest assured he's recovered. He's only going to get better because he undoubtedly is still regaining confidence in the knee, and he very well could return to the form he was at in 2007 when he was a 3-down ILB and a 1st round talent. Just keep him in mind, I'm sold on Brinkley.

Jasper has been my favorite ILB for along time even last season when he was low 1st high 2nd rounder. There was no doubt in my mind that he was recovered from that knee injury he played well this last season and is a great leader. I am happy to see that he has done well for himself and I would take him with our 3rd or 4th rounder without any issues.

Right on, he's been known to be a vocal and lead by example type guy. He's always been a solid player. He could be exactly what this D needs in the middle. Maualuga has done nothing to impress me as of late, same with Laurinaitis, both whom I thought would really be good workout warriors (besides maybe Laurinaitis in the bench reps capacity) but they failed to do so.

I honestly hope we get neither of them. I'd rather address DE/DT and then the backfield. We're fine with our current LB depth + mid/late round pickups etc.
