  • It's getting vicious in here......

It's getting really personal on these mock drafts. You would think it's Noringnoglory that was making these picks. we are all bronco fans and we all have our own ideas on what we think would be best for our team but nobody here has a crystal ball to actually know what's going to happen in the FA market or in the draft.

All of us are entitled to have an opinion and if you put your ideas(i.e mock drafts) out there then expect it to be scrutinized but at the same we don't need to get personal and question people's NFL I.Q like they are some 3rd grader.

can we also stop taking it personal if some of us don't like the guy you like?
every year it's the same thing, a group of us fall into this man crush with certain players and then there isn't anything anyone can say about the player with out it getting overly personal.

I believe it's in agreement that we all like Hillis and don't want him to leave we just have a difference in opinion in how he should be used. Why does that need to so nasty and offensive that we turn into SD posters? that's got to stop.

Samething goes for certain draft picks, we all fall in love with certain players and I am guilty of that too but I understand that my opinion might not be the same as yours does that's gives me the right to call anyone a idiot that doesn't agree with me? and vice and versa.

It's great debate and i love it but if we are all bronco fans who loves this team and wants the same goals why are we acting like we are on the smack forum with raidersrback, what happen to the class on this board?

Not trying to be corny but this board wasn't this like this before.

From what I have seen, it is only because a "certain" posters repeatedly make mock drafts.

Not that we have a problem with the actual selections, but the fact that they are dishing them out every other day gets annoying.

every day? try 3 a day, two of them being almost identical, with the difference being a 1000x 500 image instead of a 1200 x 400 one

It's like politics. I try not to get involved, I have my opinions but I just like watching other people fight about it.

I take issue with anyone that holds out to the message board that they have superior knowledge, does nothing to back it up outside of quoting random draft sites, and refuse to admit their opinion could be wrong. All the while, attacking any and every poster that doesn't share their opinion.

The spam posting of ridiculous mock drafts is a secondary issue for myself. Annoying, but not enough to prod me to respond.

It's really not about how often you're right and how often you're wrong. It's how you debate, and it's how you "man up" and admit it when you were wrong or uninformed about something.

Okay fine I feel exposed now

              I was wrong once.

              JK-

I do admit that I don't know the college players as much as a lot of the guys that post in this forum, so I post my comments periodically and enjoy what reading there comments from time to time.

I concur that anyone, no matter how much they know, with an elitist attitude about their football knowledge is a tad nauseating.

One of the reasons I enjoy this forum is because it provides a bit of a maturity increase over GD. From time to time there is the ocassional tift, but it usually fades within a day or so. Part of it may be due to the pending draft and free agent market bringing posters out of the woodwork.

Agreed. I understand you, but it's one thing if you prove someone wrong but it's kind of hard to admit your wrong if someone keeps calling you a idiot while they are doing it.
Like i said if you put your opinions outthere then it's out there for the world to scrutinize bronco fan and non bronco fan alike but there's constructrive critizism and there just being totally obnoxious(not saying you are MUG) but some are so quick to knock somebody else's opinion.

again i am not knocking the debates is how we debate that i'm questioning.

It also does not help, when the so called 'Poster(s)' in question are quite new to the forum and focuses on attacking posters who are respected members of the forum. Even if other long time posters disagree with one another, we usually handle it in a cordial debating fashion, we might even get a little vicious, but usually in a playful manner. We know one another, and the other long-time posters now us; it is our way, each of us knows how far we can go...

So needles to say when some, relatively new poster comes on and starts attacking, especially as to go as far as knowledge of the game and so forth, other long-time posters will come to the aid of one another, we defend their views...even if we disagree, because at least we can see their point and debate it. But we do not let our fellow posters get slammed, and when one of us does criticize the young or attacking poster, that poster just begins again and does it again and again and again, to the point where it is not only sad, but tedious and hurts the boards as a whole.

                    It's like this every year.

Noobs come along make 40,000 threads a day telling us of a player we never heard of like Albert Haynesworth and why we should sign him. Vets come in and flame, noobs triple in number and we cop a tude.

I think there was something like 4 threads on Kwame Freaking Harris last year, every year we have to deal with it. Personally, we need a 100 post rule. Now.

Or a function to where you're only allowed to create 1 thread a day.

i agree, but when someone posts multiple mocks daily, and takes every criticism as an insult, and thinks everything he says is right, and...crap forgot what my main point was gonna be...lol but we all know who this post is about...and for the reasons i mentioned above he brings out the worst in people (including me)

Great post. I see that happening alot too. seems to be a lack of respect and I too get overly agitated when someone with ten posts questions my NFL IQ but being that I have been here long enough i should know better in handling young bucks on the board.
I shouldn't have to explain how long i have been on here to prove myself and it's happenning more and more with just the bronco fans.

i know this isn't a perfect world but i think this board is the best we got out cause so many opposing fans join and love to tussle with us without fear of banishment and most opinions are tolerated but when it becomes so heated that the name calling gets really personal might as well take it to the smack forum.
