Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

My question is where the heck is Ray Lewis gonna go then? There would be really no market for him at all.
how do you figure there is "no market" for a guy like ray lewis he would double the strength of our defense? im not saying we should get him im just saying he's an animal and one of the all time greats,i think he wont have a problem finding a job...lol
It's so hard to say anymore. I mean look at Haynesworth. Who in their right mind would've thought skins had the money to sign him after the huge deal they gave Deangelo Hall.
The Baltimore Sun passes along speculation that the Ravens are now offering Bart Scott a five-year, $42 million contract.
That's $2 million more than the Jets' offer. Scott also reportedly wants to be assured that he will be the "center piece" of the new defense, which means he would be taking over Ray Lewis' spot. Scott is still negotiating with both clubs.

This is why being first at everything in the media world isn't all it's cracked up to be. I mean ask Mort how well it has worked for him. Sometimes being second is a good thing~
Bart Scott reportedly is going to give the Ravens a chance to match the Jets' five-year, $40 million contract offer.
In an effort to break the story, many national sources said the deal was officially agreed to. But it was never signed and it now appears Scott is having second thoughts and wants to give Baltimore another shot. We don't see why Baltimore wouldn't match now, but it's no lock. We'll find out shortly.
