  • Roy Miller (DT) Texas in the 3rd.

After watching him since H.S. I think he is the perfect 3-4 NT. Similar to Casey Hampton.

    Thoughts?

He is currently ranked a 7th/FA on Nfldraftscout.com's ranking but is a very solid player and I could see him going in the 6th Round.

To me he compares to Terrance Taylor but gives more effort!!!!

If someone gets him as a FA they are getting a steal. This kid can play.....I've been watching football my whole life and he is one of the best DT's to come out of Texas.....only behind Shaun Rodgers and Casey Hampton.

I watched a few Longhorns games last season, and Miller was one of the players on their defense that stood out (along with Orakpo and Kindle). He seemed to being bearing down on the quarterback from up the middle on every other play. Good player, I wonder why he is ranked so low.

Not sure either, maybe he just got outshined by Orakpo and during Texas game
tape people just don't notice a DT holding down men??

I woulda guesed he'd be no more than a round behind Ziggy Hood.

Ziggy Hood has quickly become one of my favorite players in this years draft. I love his attitude and work ethic, i was hoping we'd be able to grab him in the 2nd (he'd be a perfect fit for the 3-4 hybrid), but now it looks like he might go late in the first round. I've seen a lot of mocks with him going to Indy

The guy is kind of small for a NT, but does not look like a bad late round draft pick

if man is 5 and jay cutler is 6 then that must make john elway 7

Small for a 3-4 NT? He is perfect......see Casey Hampton.

If he is there in the 4th or after we better damn well snap him up.....really.

Well, us UT fans also thought Tim Crowder, Frank Okam, and Rodrique Wright were going to be good.

He has some potential, but a 3rd is way to high for him. Maybe more like a 5th or 6th.

not really the same size, I think a 4th would be a bit of a stretch for this guy

I honestly never though Crowder was a good pro prospect nor Okam nor Wright.

I did expect Benson and Mike Williams to be very good though.

roy miller doesnt even come close to terrence taylors level. taylor has far more levarge ability and run stuffing capability. taylor is a 3rd rd pick, roy miller is a 5th-6th rd pick because he isnt as good as taylor on tape....

still worth a look in the 5th if we havent picked up a NT, but we would be stupid to wait till the 5th rd anyway.....
