  • My mock draft...

    Why not...

1-12) Tyson Jackson, DE, LSU - Raji will not be available so we take the best defensive lineman left on the board.

1-18) Rey Maualuga ILB USC - If he falls this far. It's about time we find someone to fill Al Wilson's shoes.

2-48) Ron Brace DT Boston College - I would be willing to trade up a bit to get him.

3-79) Rashad Johnson FS Alabama - "Has a history of making the big play at critical moments." CBSSPORTS

3-84) Christopher Owens CB San Jose State - Small but loves contact. Reminds me of Tyrone Braxton.

4-114) Sammie Lee Hill DT Stillman College - Big man from a small school program.

5-149) Courtney Greene SS Rutgers - Started 51 straight games.

6-185) Cecil Newton C Tennessee State - Small school but fits our zone
blocking style... plus Wiegmann is not getting any younger.

7-225) Rudy Carpenter QB Arizona State - Like a Bradlee Van Pelt but with much more accuracy.

7-235) Victor Butler OLB Oregon State - Tweener for special teams and a rushing specialist for 3rd and longs. Who knows... Karl Mecklenburg was a 12th rounder!

    :go:

You have done a very good job.

But if you look at Mel Kiper's Mock draft.

    Rey Maualuga will be gone
    Rashad Johnson will be gone

But overall I would be happy if it happened.

Not everyone uses Kiper's mock as a bible

Not Bible just reference. When ever I do a mock draft I try to base if off something.

Like I don't have Denver selecting Brian Orakpo at 12 because most Mock drafts have him gone. Could he be there???? Sure but probably not.

          Rudy Casrpenter?! 6-1-5/8
Carpenter is a middle of the road prospect. He is a prototypical drop-back passer who lacks speed (4.85) and overall athletic ability to excel at the position. He does have good arm strength and is accurate in the short to intermediate areas. He is a leader and a hard worker. However, his balls tend to float on longer passes and his progression process is slow. Carpenter also does not read defenses that well and has trouble with multiple formations. He needs to add bulk and work on his lack of pocket presence and awareness, because his technique is rudimentary at this time.

Carpenter has enough skills to be drafted late in the second day. Nevertheless, if he does not improve his timing and agility, he will never see the inside of an NFL stadium as a player.

I like it other then The Qb pick in the 7th, Graham Harrell would be a better pick cause he is fit for our system. Also rather then taking 2 S and a CB maybe just 1 or 2 Db so we can adress OLB which we really need.
            Humm....

"Carptenter has one sterling intangible that attracts all NFL talent evaluators, he doesn't beat himself. Carpenter started the final 43 games of his career and threw 1,309 passes with only 35 interceptions. He set an NCAA record for interception avoidance as a freshman with just two in 228 passes. As a senior, he threw 131 consecutive passes without an interception. "

This is the draft the broncos should do

Alright i wanna know how u guys feel about this so comment back alright here we go
First off we need to trade our 12th overall to detroit for their 20th overall and 33rd overall thats what we need to do right off the bat its to good for both sides. Think about it on Detroits side they give up the 33rd overall but they get their QB in Stafford and then they get their OT in Smith or Oher or whoever is left and then we get tyson jackson with the 18th overall who i think will suck but who knows or Vonte Davis who as a Illinois resident is the best corner in the draft and to have Champ as a mentor OMFG!!!! then draft Everette Brown with the 20th overall who is another DeMarcus Ware. thats our first round.
Then with the 33rd we get James Laurinaitis who is another beast, hes not Rey but hes almost as good. Then with our original 48th we get Big Boy Ron Brace!!! I watched him at the Senior Bowl he's a beast.
3rd round 79th we go and get the beast from WVU Pat White and 84th Shonn Greene from Iowa
in the forth round at 114th its Terrance Taylor hes another big guy
fifth at 149th Kaluka Maiava who is still one of the FOUR OLB in the top 20 OLB and we can get him at 149!!!
                  185th Pannel Egboh from stanford
225th Quan Cosby and 235th a kicker or the fastest corner left and then pick up a kicker in CFA.

OMG this draft if this plays out will be the best draft by the Denver Broncos ever

                    B. Tyson Jackson will probably be gone.
                    C. Shonn Greene will probably be gone.

Hey it's not like good players are only in the first round. If Sanchez and Moreno were our picks I'd be ok with that, although I'd rather them get Jackson and Brown if possible.

I'd prefer D but I would take it for sure
