What about Smith and Maclin not being invited? Obvioulsy Smith upset teams the way he acted at the combine... But what would be the reason that you think Maclin got skipped as well? I have seen Maclin getting picked right with Raji in most mocks...
NFLN is reporting that Smith has been invited. I was surprised that he wasn't listed. I think it was just a mistake on the reporters part.

"Nine prospects invited to attend draft

Posted: News | NFL.com Staff | Tags: Aaron Curry, Brian Cushing, Brian Orakpo, Eugene Monroe, Jason Smith, Josh Freeman, Matthew Stafford, Michael Crabtree, Michael Oher

Nine top prospects have been invited to attend Day 1 of the 2009 NFL Draft at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on April 25, the league announced Monday. WR Michael Crabtree, LB Aaron Curry, LB Brian Cushing, QB Josh Freeman, T Eugene Monroe, T Michael Oher, DE Brian Orakpo, T Jason Smith and QB Matthew Stafford will be the biggest group of prospects to attend the draft since 11 players attended the 1996 NFL Draft.

Players were first invited to the NFL Draft in 1993 with Drew Bledsoe (1st overall pick), Marvin Jones (4th), Willie Roaf (8th), Jerome Bettis (10th), Dan Williams (11th) and Irv Smith (20th). Of course, Smith’s tumble late into the first round bore the drama of players fidgeting in the “green room” waiting for their name to be called. Maybe that’s why QB Mark Sanchez will not be attending the draft.

Everybody remembers the famous slides of Aaron Rodgers who fell to the Packers at No. 24 in 2005, and Brady Quinn being picked at No. 22 by the Browns in 2007. They have nothing on former running back Leeland McElroy who lasted into the second round (32nd overall) in 1996 before he was mercifully drafted by the Cardinals.

For all of the latest draft information, including mock drafts, be sure to visit NFL.com’s draft page. There you can join the debate about the league’s all-time No. 1 pick."

Sorry I meant Andre Smith not Jason Smith. I almost typed out the entire name and realized after that I should have. Andre may well go before Raji but he is fighting his own issues and I doubt the NFL would invite him.

I still think Denver drafts him at 12 regardless , just write drug clause into contract , where he losses some of his signing bonus.
he will def fall in the draft...no team wants a player who has the potential to be fined/forced to miss games

Especially with the amount of Guaranteed money in the top 10

I'm going to reply to this only on the basis of my own personal knowledge.

I played FB/MLB, when I would smoke before I played, I would be relaxed, less tense. I was able to let my athletic ability to take control, like the old saying says "Don't make it happen, let it happen".

I was able to see the hole develop faster, when I was running a route the game slowed waaaaaay down, and it seemed like I was faster that everyone. I could see where the hit was coming sooner.

When on D, it was the same story. The game slowed down, I recognized plays faster, and in general reacted faster.

I had/have lots of problems with my knees, and it eased the pain enough to where I didn't worry about it.

Aggressiveness is often confused for competitiveness, and I was every bit as competitive when I smoked, if not more.

I know not everyone, or maybe even no one feels the same way. As I said, thats my own personal experience.

They rarely invite people slated to go outside of the top 10 picks.

              Not a surprise to me.
