First round QBs--Booms or Busts?

Why do we have to draft a QB in the first round? Thats simple.

Patriots and Josh McD have had success with later round quarterbacks (Tom Brady & Cassell) so why would we waste our picks on some idiot from USC when we just got 2 new QBs.

We should actually use the draft picks and rebuild that horrid defense of ours.

I think that our offense has great pieces. QB is just a small piece, but i think we can be fine with a QB that just manages the game. We still have great WRs and an OL.
