  • If Raji & Jackson are gone at #12 where do we go?

Watching NFL total access tonight Tom Waddle gave his mock top 10 and he had Jacksong going to KC at 3 but still trying to trade up. And Raji going to Green Bay. I think it would be a horrible situation for the Broncos if this happend and I am still hoping we trade up and get Sanchez but if not I have to assume Orakpo goes either to SF of Buffalo. So that leaves us with who?

I guess the only choice would be E.Brown from FSU although I'm not big on taking him at 12. And if this happends I really hope we take Moreno at 18 which doesnt seem likely either. Who else do we go with A Maybin? Do we reach and take Maualuga at 18 also? What do you think we should do if this happends?

Moreno will almost certainly be the BPA at 12. That should be our pick.
Only fools bet against Tim Tebow.

    Team Tebow #108

    Yards, without points, mean nothing.

If we stay at 12 and both Raji and Jackson are gone then we pick either:

      Orakpo
      Brown
      Maualuga
      Moreno
      Jenkins
      Cushing

That's the order I like them in.

If Jackson and Raji are gone, Sanchez will most likely be off the board, as will Orakpo. The other picks ahead of us will likely be the 4 OTs, Stafford, Curry, and the two receivers - or one receiver and one of the other rush OLB/DE converts.

If this is the case, our pick is simple. We take Jenkins and are very happy with it.

Haha I love it! But it will never happen. Maybe if he's there at 18. . .

What if Jackson and Raji are gone?

With Tyson Jacksons stock rising, its looking more like both he and Raji will be gone before pick 12. And I think its a MUST we get an impact 3-4 lineman and these two are as good as it gets. So I have come to a conclusion.

                  We have to trade up!

What do you guys think of giving the bears 3rd rounder with pick twelve to seattle for their first rounder? Or maybe Jacksonville(apparently they want to trade their pick also). :salute!:

I'd love to see him in Orange and Blue, but that's mainly because I'm a K-State fan. He's the type of QB that would require a system to be tailor made to his strong points, and I don't think he'd actually make a good fit here unless Mickey D were willing to tweak his game plans.

I've seen him in some interviews, though, and I think he's a natural team leader, and the team that takes him... prolly Jets at 17, are going to have a strong leader with Michael Vick type abilities, except with brains and morals...

I guess if both are gone Sanchez might be good to take as a value pick. Otherwise take Maualuga, Brown, Maybin,... basically any and all D

I would totally agree. There's no point in reaching for a player like Larry English at #12 when you could take the best CB or S on the board, especially since the Broncos need both!

This goes double if McDaniels has looked a Champ Bailey's contract and sees that he might well be gone after the 2010 season like MUG believes! (Remember that's what the Pats did with Asante Samuel, the franchised him for 1 year and then let him go as a FA to the Eagles where he signed a $54 million contract or something. The Broncos could do something like that with Bailey).

The Broncos would then need a #1 CB and Jenkins might be forced into the lineup there.

The wild-card every year in figuring out what players will be available later is Al Davis! It's always Al Davis. Remember in 2006 the Raiders desperately needed a QB -- so they grabbed S Michael Huff who's been rather a disappointment for a top 10 pick. That let Cutler slide to #11.

I've seen everything from Michael Crabtree to DE Michael Johnson mocked to the Raiders at #7. And nobody but nobody knows what weird Al will do this year!

If Everte Brown or Malcom Jenkins is there at 12th we take them and at 18 i would not be against getting Josh Freeman

+1 to everyone who said Jenkins. There should still be a solid defensive value pick at 12, even if our top two targets are gone. That said, trading #12 up or down would be fine, too, if we can get either of Raji or Jackson trading up. If none of the above happens, I think I'd be fine with Moreno here. We'd absolutely have to take defense with 18 then, though.
