We could get one of these guys in round 2.

Those would be good picks, I doubt either will be available at 48. Sintim, Sidbury, Barwin in the second round.

Gilbert and Brace would be great picks for the Broncos but not at 12 and 18. The Broncos have to come out of this draft with a NT, so they need to get to the bottom of the first round or the top of the second to get Brace. I wouldn't complain if the Broncos were to take Brace at 18, you do what you have to do, but I just don't see it happening.

          2. Would you rather have Brace, the best NT in the draft, or Everette Brown, a 6'1" lineman playing a new position at LB in the NFL (of which there are plenty of in this draft)?

          2. The Denver Broncos may not have the guts to make these picks. But that is the difference between a contender and a pretender in the NFL.
Jackson averaged about 1.5 yards at him when defending the run while being double teamed and in a wayyyyyyy tougher conference than Gilbert. Jackson is stronger, don't be fooled by bench press numbers

Brace didn't even start in college until Raji was suspended for a few games so how is he the best NT in the draft? And Brown is a first round pick AND WILL BE THE BEST PASS RUSHING LB IN THIS DRAFT GAURANTEED

The Chargers took a huge reach on Craig Davis a few years back, look what he's done, nothing. The Broncos did it with Moss, he did nothing. I could go on and on but I don't think it'll help

I disagree on the Jackson Gilbert comparison.

Gilbert destroys Jackson in all of the workout stuff. It's not even a contest, luckily
for Jackson he did play in the SEC. If Gilbert put up his numbers in a legit school,
not SEC just a legit school, he'd go before Jackson easily IMO.

Gilbert isn't better than Jackson and I can see that by looking at the tape. There is no player better than Jackson in this draft at stopping the run. Gilbert may have more TFLs but overall Jackson was better. You can't really compare their numbers and say who is really stronger. Johnson did the same amount of reps on the bench press as Gilbert, but that doesn't mean Johnson is stronger than Jackson.

                  1) Gilbert looks like a beastly MOFO on his tapes... Have you watched him? The
problem is the level of competition, not his play or technique.

                  2) I can make a judgement of strength based on this: Jackson handled double
teams at DE. Gilbert handled double teams at DE and DT. Gilber out benched,
squatted, and deadlifted Jackson. Sure, on the field leverage means everything,
but I don't see that a huge weakness when I watch Gilbert.

                  3) It's level of competition, and DRC taught me a lot about that last year.

Of course Gilbert's going to have tapes that make him look good. Why would he try and hurt his stocks by putting out his negatives?

Jackson did switch in to DT at LSU too and still got double teamed. Gilbert may have had a better workout than him but I see him as a workout warrior. Orakpo can bench 515 lbs and squat over 600, doesn't mean he's going to be good. Orakpo is going to suck in the NFL.

DRC is on another level of athleticism. He was more athletic than just about everyone that came out last season.

waste of two first round picks...what are we the Raiders?

pick players with tallent...one of these two is availble in the second...why reach on two amazingly placed picks to overpay 2nd round material
