It's official. Trade was horrible. Had it been a pick in the 18 to 20-someting range... You can tolerate it. Giving up a top-15 pick makes you sick.

When you consider the undrafted Carter looks better.... WOW!

Oh well. At least we get decent picks in rounds 2-7.

HEY... for kicks.... If CHI lost to MIN.... Who picks 9th? BUF or CHI? DId we fall back 1 or 2 spots b/c AP fumbled?

Yeah, we would of had 9th or 10th most likely. The trade doesnt look good so far. Wait and see how Alphonso does next year.

Thanks a lot AP. HIs fumble costs us 2 slots. You just know the guy we really want goes at 9 or 10, and we're left with plan-B.

Still, we only slipped from 9th to 11th. Could have been worse. At least we jumped a few spots today b/c we got hammered at home against KC.

I think you guys should trade the 11th pick for some more picks...maybe several 2nd round picks. But thats just me....there are a lot of positions you guys need to address.

Pick 11? You've got to be kidding freaking Vikings and Lions ruined for us. Now, we won't get Rolando McClain like we needed.

More pressing needs than ILB honestly. So I don't think you'll be picking McClain even if he is available.

                              Small favors

I see that our own slot is in a group at #13 - #17. The good news is that our 2nd round pick should rotate from 14th into the #13/45 slot, and dropping to the #17/81 in the 3rd, and moving up in the group in each successive round. I'll let you do the math. The compensatory picks will be added at the annual meeting so I won't try to project later picks since they'll change.

As silver linings go, I'm glad to see us move up a little in the 2nd. It's been my feeling that a slight difference in where we pick in the 2nd may be the difference between being able to take someone we covet and settling for someone else, although it's only a small move -- mathematically speaking. Call it intuition.
