The Browns will not be trading for Marshall nor will they be trading for Scheffler.

The Browns have a lot of needs - true. However, the Browns have 11 draft picks to fix those needs. The Browns already have a cheap TE that played very well this year in Evan Moore. So, why not be smart and give him more playing time next year? That would be a smart idea would it not? The kid showed he had skills this year - now what can he do with a full season?

Secondly, the "Marshall" issue. The Browns had Braylon Edwards. Edwards was a diva just like Marshall. Cleveland wasn't big enough for both Edwards and Lebron James' egos. It won't be big enough for Marshall and James' egos. Furthermore, the Browns have two young recievers to build around in MoMass and Brian Robiskie. If the Browns do get another reciever it will be a 3rd down reciever. That is something that the team is missing. If you "insist" on it being a Broncos reciever that the Browns pick up it would be somebody in the mold of Stokely. Not Marshall.

    Ok, enough of my rant.
He never had Marshall going to Cleveland? And LeBron doesn't have much of an ego other than the occasional jig on the court he does. He's one of the more humble superstars out there.

Anyways, solid offseason, but I still don't think we can even get a 4th for Scheffler. Maybe a 5th. I don't like the WR from USC though. Honestly I'd rather pass on Haden for Dez Bryant and then take Ilupati? I forget the spelling, the Guard, with our 2nd 1st rounder.

It's Iupati, and I agree, it would be awesome to have him. He would bring instant credibility to a position that has been a weakness for 3 years now.

I had shef being traded for a 5th but then changed it right before I posted it.

Whats not to like about Damian Williams? I just don't see an issue with him and all anyone else can come up with is that he went to USC so I just ignore stupidity like that.

I like Dez Bryant but I am not as high on him as everyone else yes he is my #1 WR but we are going to hurting so bad at CB once Champ leaves I think Haden is an elite player who we shouldn't pass on. Iupati is an interesting player I don't think a guard is worth a 1st round pick and he hasn't played against any good pass rushers in college so we will need to watch him closely dureing the offseason drills/games. Not to mention that the pats never had there OG's that big they always had 305-315lb Oline guys and I think that is what McD is looking for.

Iupati is not 330 because he's fat like most guys who weigh that much. Have you ever seen him? He's an amazing specimin. He can pull too. He's pretty athletic. One scouting report said he could play RT if you needed him to, but he should be left at LG because moving people out of the way is what he does best.

I am well aware that he does not have Marshall going to Cleveland. I said I was going to address two of the more prevelant "stories" floating around this board.

The first rumor is that Cleveland would want Marshall. Which I addressed.

The second being that Scheffler was going to be traded to the Browns, which the creator of this thread and many others had in their mock.
The Browns are gone; I'm not a fan of the Impostors

The real Browns are in Baltimore, see?

I know Iupati well and have watch some game film of him as well as this years bowl game.

I know he is an athletic 330 and I would prefer we go with big boys on our lines but I just don't think that is what McD will be looking for, then again I could be way wrong and would be fine if he was our pick. I still don't think you use a 1st round pick on an guard, I never said he wasn't worth it or he isn't good just that teams don't tend take guards in the first round very often.

I think he "could" play RT but I agree his home is at LG where he can use his size and speed better.

Then start your own thread venting about your great browns and how they are the best at everything and have the best players everywhere and don't need help in FA. The other nfl team forum is ------> way

I don't like Damian Williams as much as Dez Bryant because he's not the best at beating press coverage and isn't the best red zone target either. If Brandon Marshall leaves we all of a sudden have ZERO good red zone receivers. Bryant does a good job shielding corners and plucking the ball out of the air.

Damian Williams seems like a solid #2 guy with his HIGHEST point being a Jimmy Smith esque kinda guy. I don't really see him being a dominant wide receiver like I feel Dez Bryant could, and if you're gonna spend a high pick on a receiver, it should be for a guy with potential to truly dominate.

Thats why I mocked Malcom Floyd to us in FA he is 6'5" 225 and has great hops as well can out run a lot of guys down the sideline.

I said that Bryant is my #1 wr I just think that he is over hyped as being can't miss. I spent a lot of time watching film of him and that is how I formed my opinion if you haven't I would suggest because the film doesn't lie.
