Clady, Harris, and Kuper are solid (if not elite) players we need to build around, not get rid of. I watched Kuper all year, he got the job done in the both the run and pass game (just last year he had apx a 88-89% success rate on all his blocks) and he's only going to keep improving. The weak links were C and LG and one bad or missed block on the interior can screw up entire plays. Thus resulting in our terrible short yardage conversions as well as a decline in pass protection this year.

Kuper is 6'4", 305 lbs. He's plenty big, Denver just needs to infuse some youthful talent at LG and C. Then give them awhile to build chemistry and gel and bam, we have a great O-line again.

Get the point? Letting go of Kuper is not a step in the right direction.

You have your opinion, I have mine! With Kuper and Harris both barely topping 300 lbs the right side needs to be bigger. I like Kuper and think he is a solid lineman, but I feel McDaniels will feel he needs replaced. Adding Pouncey and Asamoah would really upgrade the inerior O-line,Kuper or no Kuper!

Let's just agree to disagree and see what happens, I wouldn't mind if we kept Kuper, but won't be upset if we don't!

I'll respect your opinion, even though it's completely wrong... Haha. Just kidding.

But seriously where exactly are you getting this feeling from? Plus 305 lbs is just fine for a guard. You don't want some mammoth guard who has size and power, but doesn't have the quickness to pull effectively.

Fair enough, what is your idea of the perfect scenario for our O-line? Say we keep Kuper and we build around Clady, Kuper, and Harris. Who are your guys, who do you want to add?

I'm not sure at this point. I haven't done my draft/FA research yet. I'm thinking a good route would be to pick up solid FA linemen (heard Logan Mankins name being thrown around) and/or draft small school linemen in the lower rounds of the draft (teams usually either find project players or instant starters and if not they only used low picks anyway). That will give us a blend of youth and experience thus giving us depth and producing healthy competition.

I'll get back to you on that after I've done my research. I'll probably put up a mock at some point so just look for that.

the raiders traded a first round pick for seymour i doubt they let him walk away after one season.

But seriously, he wasn't happy when he got dealt there and I don't see him wanting to stay in Oakland. The ball is in his court so if he wants to leave he can!

This was very interesting to read. :salute!:

I second the notion of getting rid of Kuper. I felt like he was one of the weak links on our o-line last year. I always liked him and I think he's a pretty decent player but we could definitely find someone better for the position.

Intersting, but i don't see Davis going anywhere, he was one of the few run stoppers on the team.
