  • Seattle Trade/Mock Draft

As per the Bleacher Report - Brandon Marshall to Seattle has been confirmed as a Rumor. I think this really might happen and here are my reasons.

    1. Denver would send Marshall to the NFC.
    2. Denver would get a Starting WR back in Deion Branch who has worked with McDaniels in New England.
    3. McDaniels has proven he likes Veteran Players. Rookies have contributed but only a little.

    Trades

    1. Denver trades Brandon Marshall to Seattle for our original 1st Round Pick(14) Round Pick and Deion Branch. Branch is a very solid WR who caught 45 balls last year and will probably have same production as Jabbar Gaffney.

    2. Denver trades Tony Scheffler to Cincinnati for their 3rd Round Pick.

    3. Denver trades their original 2nd Round Pick to Cleveland for Joshua Cribbs. McDaniels constantly talks about Special Teams and Field Position and with a extra 2nd from Seattle , he trades for Cribbs.

    Free Agents

    1. Eugene Amano - Guard/Center Tennesee

    2. Ryan Pickett - NT - Green Bay

    2010 NFL DRAFT

1st Round Pick(10/11th)-----------------------**********TRADE********** Denver trades it's 1st Round Pick to New England for it's 1st/2nd(via Jacksonville and 5th Round Picks - New England drafts Dez Bryant with Randy Moss getting Old and Welker coming off major knee injury - New England finally realizes that it needs to add a Quality WR. New England is loaded with picks and drafts the only NFL ready WR.

1st Round Pick(via Seattle #14)---------------------Dan Williams - NT/DE Tennesse 6'2" 327lbs Williams will bring much needed size and talent to the Dline.

    1st Round Pick(via NE #23)------------------------------Maurkice Pouncey - Center - Florida 6'5" 318lbs
Do you remember how much Tom Nalen meant to Denver??? Pouncey will be a Rock at Center for the next Decade.

    2nd Round Pick(New England #44)--------------Brandon Ghee - CB - Wake Forrest - 5'11" 189lbs McDaniels loves his CB's and Ghee is a excellent CB.

    3rd Round Pick------------------------------------Denario Alexander - WR - Missouri- 6'4" 215lbs WR. Alexander is a very solid WR.

3rd Round Pick(Cincy)-----------------------------Micah Johnson - ILB - Kentucky Johnson will eventually replace Andra Davis.

4th Round Pick--------------------------------------Alex Carrington - DE - Arkansas St. Big DE to develop

    5th Round Pick(via New England)------------------Zoltan Mesko - P - Michigan - 6'5" 232lbs Punter

6th Round Pick--------------------------------------Rico McCoy - LB Tennesee 6'0" 220lbs Will be Special Team Stud.

    7th Round Pick--------------------------------------Daryl Clark - QB/WR - Penn St. Denver tries to pull a Cribbs/Edelman.

    Final Thoughts

    1. I think McDaniels has proven he likes Veteran Players and getting Deion Branch back in a trade would fit his motives.

    2. I think that signing 1 good Offensive lineman - Amano and 1 good Defensive Lineman Pickett is going to be a Priority this year.

    3. McDaniels values Special Teams alot. By trading for Joshua Cribbs he will Immediately Improve our Field Position!!!! McDaniels constantly mentions Field Position and Cribbs is the best.

    Denver's Starting Offensive Line.

Ryan Clady , Eugene Amano , Maurkice Pouncey , Chris Kuper , Ryan Harris

I think this would go a long way to fixing our running problems!!!

    Any thoughts??????

While i like the ambition of this mock, i think it is a stretch to say cody falls to the second. to many Nfl teams have switched to the 3-4 and we all know that the nose is a big part of that. so that being said i thnik cody goes in the mid to late first round. Now on to the BMarsh trade.... While i do think seattle is a possible landing spot for him i just dont see the vaule in a second and branch for marsh. i think we try and pry a first rounder away from anyone who wants marsh.. and as for ILB i still believe we go with mcclain he is a stud that should start from day one. and give great leadership to a postion that really has being lacking in that department since we lost al wilson.

Not sure Cody wil fall to the 2nd round. A team like Pittsburgh might take him if Hampton leaves. I do like the pick of Clark late in the draft or possible rookie FA. He may be a long term developmental QB, or another athlete in the mold of Michael Robinson of the 49ers who also played at Penn State as a QB.

Good but I really doubt a we would get a 3rd for Scheffler. I don't see NE moving up for a player, especially an offensive one when they have many needs on defence right now.

I would hate to only get a 2nd for Marshall and Branch, he has been bad since going to Seatle, but you are right, it fits what we have seen McD do.

Although he did steal a couple of first rounders for ...that guy..

I understand that Brandon Marshall should bring a 1st and 3rd in my opinion but I also think that McDaniels would take 2 - 2nd Round Picks.

I think that McDaniels love's Veteran Players and especially ones he already knows - Deion Branch fits the bill like Jabbar Gaffney , Lamont Jordan , Kevin Le Smith , Loni Paxton , Russ Hochstein.

So I think McDaniels might value Branch like a 2nd Round Pick but I understand your thoughts!!!

I also think that McDaniels and Bowlen will try to trade Marshall out of the AFC. If they had to face Marshall all the time , it would cause major negative press. So Seattle might just happen.

As far as Terrance Cody it is hard to figure where he will go. He didn't play alot in the Championship Game because Texas was passing the ball alot and I think he might drop til the 2nd.

If not we could go in 3 Directions -

Brandon Spikes - ILB - Florida - might be available

Mike Iupati - Guard - Idaho - might be available

Arthur Jones - DE - Syracuse - might be available.

I just think that McDaniels love's his Veterans and this might just happen!!!!

If we only get a 2nd and branch, I say . Keep Brandon and pay him. We are better with him then a has been and an unproven rook.

Theres a good chance Branch is outright cut in the offseason. Your value on him is way too high. He has serious knee problems and has been very inconsistent in Seattle. He is worth a 4th rounder, 3rd tops.

I like the Pouncey pick, but the rest is pretty horrible IMO.

                    Also.....

Don't leave out Baltimore as a huge player this off season for Brandon Marshall or as a trading up partner. The uncapped rules seriously limits teams that make it to the final 8 teams. They can not sign a F/A until someone else signs one of theirs.

Why not trade B Marsh to the Patriots for Mankins and a 1st?

I really think that Bowlen would rather ship Marshall to a NFC team. If Marshall went to the Patriots then he would have to face him alot more often.

I do believe there is going to be probably about 6 teams who will pursue Marshall.

                          Seattle - obvious
Cincy - they have obvious need opposite Ocho Cinco
                          New England - who knows
Baltimore - definetely need a WR
                          Miami - need a true #1 WR
Washington - maybe - Snyder likes big FA's

I just think that McDaniels will want a Veteran WR. So Branch fits the bill maybe a 2nd isn't enough.

Maybe Deion Branch , 2nd and 5th Round Picks. With the 5th we could get Zoltan Mesko

Seattle- They have way many other needs then BMarsh. OL, QB, Defense. Branch will likely get cut this offseason and his knee is pretty bad. That would be a horrible trade.

Cincy- Very possible. Sleeper team, but would McDaniels send him to an AFC contender.

NE- Doubt it. Pats dont make big trades and give away picks. There rebuilding some, probably will keep there picks. There WR's are good anyway. Moss, Welker, Edelman, Stanback, Tate.

Baltimore- They need a bigtime WR, but since there in the final 8, can they sign him?

Miami- I dont see Parcells making a run at Marshall. Probably keep building through the draft even though they need a #1 WR

SF- This is the only NFC team i can see trading for Marshall.

Washington- Shanny was going to trade Marshall, why would he all of a sudden want him now. WR is not a position they need. Thomas, Kelly, Randle El, Moss, Davis, Cooley. Need to fix there OL and maybe get a RB since Portis best days are behind him.

I like the two free agent additions. Agree with it. Draft one DL/OL, vice versa in free agency. I'd like Pickett, he was pretty good with Green Bay and Raji will move to NT this year for them. We need to sign someone to the OL, would be a good pickup, Amano. Draft isnt too bad, still dont see Seattle going for Marshall. I like Pouncey a lot, really hope we get him. Cody wont fall to the 2nd round, Pittsbugh would take him with Hampton only having a few years left, turns 33 this year. Other then the punter, not too bad on the mock. Of course, you had your trades.

                              This ^^^^

Branch even said himself he knee may never be the same. He is worse than Javon Walker- We would get ripped the F off.... We do not want branch near here ever!!! He is done, unfortunately.

Also-I highly doubt we take a Punter before rd 7, if at all. Zoltan will probably go in the 7th as well. The faiders are the only team stupid enough to take a P anywhere before then and they already have one.

Everyone thought Owen schmidt would go in rd 2/3---didnt he go rd 5-6? And he was a FB.

Zoltan will go in the 6th at the earliest me thinks. The rest is fine.
                              So far:
                              FA- Melvin Gordon. Brandon Scherff
                              1. Kenneth Murray LB; 2. Shenault WR; 2B. Biadazz Center, 3. OT
