  • I know one thing(trade proposal)

If the broncos could get Nick Mangold from NY for Brandon Marshall i would pull that trade off in a second. I might even float a 6th rounder their way.

    I wouldn't mind for 2 reasons

    1. It fills a need on the interior OL.

    2. We have more money to spend on proven players instead of rookies that could bust, in other words we still only have one 1st rounder.

A WR for a C is WAY to lopsided even if the C is one of the best in the NFL.

I think he made it to the probowl, and if he didnt he was snubbed. They came out the same year i think. so i think they are about the same age.

I would really really like to keep marshall. However he is a distraction. I support anything MCD wants to do until the end of next year. I think he needs to get what ever he needs to do to win. Even if it goes against what i want.

You have a valid point, so maybe a WR for a C+2nd is more realistic.

              Couple things here.

              1. Brandon is a malcontent. That would drop alot of his value.

              2. I would really like to get a 1st out of him. However due to his Primadona ways. its gonna be really tough to find a team. Not to mention he is going to be due a huge contract.

You see Centers drafted in the first round all the time. Not to mention Nick Mangold is a very established up and comer. It makes to much sense in my mind.

And the best part we still don't have to pay another unproven rookie 1st round money and can still get solid productive players.

Yes he is equal to a 1st a tad more since he is proven, but marshall is a 1st and a 3rd no doubt. Now I dont think that him + a 2nd is fair thats too lopsided but maybe him for a 3rd or even 4th seems more realistic to me.

There are going to be a lot of other teams bidding for Marshall too so that will raise his value up a bit. Besides I don't think we are allowed to trade him for players anyway because he is a RFA which means we can only trade him for draft picks.

That would be an extremely fair trade.

I am going to have to agree with you, it would be a very fair trade from a need stand point. The Broncos need interior OL and the Jets need a reliable target not Braylon(I dropped my pencil and can't right my last name)....

Nick Mangold was a 1st team ALL PRO. It might be fair value for alot of C's in the leauge but nick mangold is not one of those.

Brandon to the best of my knowledge could have the Franchise tag placed on him. Its just how the team wants to use their tags. I could be wrong but i dont think so.

I think you should leave and never come back!
                              Is this serious?

No way, Mangold is gonna be a probowl center for years to come, Brandon Marshall has serious character issues among other things, no I don't think it would be a fair trade.

Marshall is a great receiver as long as he's content, but even still we don't him anywhere near badly enough to give up Nick Mangold, whose at worst a top 3 center.
The early returns. 3 nay and one yay the one being yay was me.....
