Porter is aging and isn't what he once was.
In Miami they asked him to be a situational player. He flat out refused to split time with another player. So, they cut him from the team.
He's an over the hill player who demands to start. Nothing but trouble for whomever signs him (if anybody signs him).

"The release of Joey Porter was determined to be an invalid termination," the club said in a statement. "Therefore at this time, Porter reverts back to the Miami Dolphins roster." It was determined that Porter's release would violate the existing salary cap. He will likely be cut on March 5. The Dolphins will conduct business as if Porter is not part of the team until the start of the free agency period.
Joey Porter plays the same position as Doom. I don't think he would be a good fit, unless we were desperate for depth and he came at a cheap price.sigpic
