Free Agents-
1. RDE Vonnie Holliday- the best DE we had great for a 3rd down roation role, we would be stupid to not bring him back
2. RB Lendale White- legit redzone power back who scored 15 Td's in 2008, underused last year while collins blew and johnson tried for 2000
3. WR Brandon Lloyd- a underated WR who is a big play threat but has attitude and work ethic issues, sitting for 14 weeks inactive then coming and playing great shows me he is maturing and i want him to get a legit shot here, he has always made big plays around the league....
4. G Bobbie Williams- a beast run blocker, and solid pass protector who weighs 345 lbs and is suprisingly agile, should be a great 1 year bridge to are youngster guards were grooming, will start from day 1.
5. CB Rod Hood- a solid back-up who always plays well, provides us youngre depth than ty law and better skills and youth, allows smith and carter to keep working hard without to much pressure.....
Trades-
1. Denver trades the 11th pick to the giants for there 15th overall and third rd picks- We need a elite DE and 11 is a tad high, 15 is perfect though. I don’t feel we need Dez Bryant since marshall stays, and Rolando mclain just doesn’t make much sense financially. However the giants could really use Mclain if he is there or Earl Thomas since there safties suck…heck even weather spoon is a option for them….and they would certainly have to get ahead of teams like Houston, Miami, Seattle for that to happen. So they bite.
2. Denver trades Peyton Hillis to Washington for 5th rd pick- Shanny loves hillis…enough said!!!!
3. Denver trades Sheffler to Carolina for 4th rd pick- Matt moore should be there new Qb, and frankly he has 1 WR weapon, sheffler will open the run game and offense up even more by stretching the field and give moore another weapon for success….they already have a great run game, they just need another receiving threat.
Draft-
1. DE Jared Odrick (Penn State)- gives us a all round DE capable of constant disruption and penetration our RDE spot this year was horrible, we had no pass rush, and no run defense at all…Odrick provides both and is the best 5 tech in this draft
2. NT Cam Thomas (UNC)- Gives us a powerful Back-up NT to keep fields fresh in a rotation. Fields is a solid NT but wears down with no help, Thomas should help out here. This also would allow Marcus Thomas and Chris Baker to move to LDE where I think they fit better.
3. OG Jon Jerry (Ole Miss)- Gives us a dominant run blocking back-up guard for olsen and Bobby Williams and Kuper, should be the final piece for the next year to our guard woes.
3. S Myron Rolle (FSU)- A cerebal athlete and leader, someone to build a defense around, good insticncts, work ethic and dedication. Would be a dymanic force with mcbath and set us up for years. Dawkins and hill should be good for this year but we need to prep for the future.
4. RB Brandon James (Florida)- gives us a situational big ply threat with his speed and agility in the return game and game situations. Also a very good KR who can relive eddie royal who just isn’t that great at it.
4. QB Jonathan Crompton (Tenesse)- would be the third Qb on the roster and has a much better NFL skill set than brandstater, he has all the tools and with the right coaching should easily be a very good Qb in a year to replace Orton or back-up a franchsie guy next year.
5. C Erik Cook (New Mexico)- Dominant player in the Mountain west, lunch pail worker who only gave up 1 sack, should be very good depth behind Weigman
6. ILB Ryan D’Imperrio (Rutgers)- Should provide great TED back-up depth behind Andra Davis, and good special teams play. Does everything well but a tad slow on the 40 time. keeps him from playing jack backer. But should be a very solid player over Larsen….
7. WR Mike Williams (Syracuse)- according to scouts , he quit his team which is a huge no-no worthwhile risk in rd seven as he has a very GOOD NFLskill set with tons of upside. His school screwed him and Im willing to see what he has got.
