  • For all you fellow Dez Bryant fans out there

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6sXYiZjT038 - I love the song too!!!

If we had a downfield threat like Bryant, Marshall and Royal in his rightful position (slot) then that is a real 3 headed monster.

You won't see teams stacking the box then!!

If we can just get a talent like Bryant then the whole offense opens up which will help everyone.....espeically Moreno.

Who would you double then ? ? LOL

I think our short passing game is more a problem of attitude/mentality than lack of deep threats. But I do believe that McDaniels will focus on fixing this since he had a lot of success with the deep ball in New England and we won't go anywhere with such limited offense.

I'm not convinced about that, Marshall was never a deep threat even when Cutler and Shanny were here, Royal has got speed and can make big plays on the odd occasion but gets jammed far too easily IMO and he just looks ideal for the slot........thats also where he was when he caught a TD on 4th down against SD last season and then the 2 PT conversion. His speed and moves would make him very dangerous in the slot.

NE had a deep threat in Moss and a possession receiver in Welker, we have a possession receiver in Marshall but where's the deep threat.......Dez Bryant

I like Dez a lot, but if we keep Marshall, i dont think we would take him. McD likes Gaffney a lot, and would be the #2 WR. Royal would move to the slot most likely.

We have our hidden gem, deep threat extraordinaire... Brandon Lloooooyd!...

... Okay, Dez Bryant sounds like a good pick.

            if....

if we can bolster our lines on both sides of the ball w/ FA and maybe targeting someone in the 2nd or 3rd, i would have no problem at all taking Dez in the first. I know it's probably unofficial but does anyone have a prior 40 time for him? He looks like he's absolutely blowing by people in that video.

Its always great watching highlight reels. . . Dez reminds me a lot of BMarsh. . . but the thing to remember is that the things that Dez is doing on the highlight reel are being done against college players. . . BMarsh does it routinely in the NFL. I hope we keep Bmarsh and use our first pick to address the D with McClain or Dan Williams or even Graham. . .If BMarsh goes, then I say we need to pick up Dez (hopefully with an extra first round pick we acquired trading BMarsh). I am NOT that thrilled with the "big name" QBs in this draft, so I hope we are focusing on the D.
Remember: If you dont feed the trolls - they will go away! Neither logic nor a compelling argument will make a difference.

Dez is a serious talent, but is NOT a deep threat in the NFL. He just doesn't have the speed to blow by defenders at the next level.

Let's say we keep Marshall by using the franchise tag and then we draft Dez with the 10/11th pick. How do you think Marshall will react when he sees a rookie WR get a big chunk of change without showing anything in the NFL?
                    Just something to think about.

If we keep Marshall there is absolutely no way (I hope) we take Bryant. We just have too many other needs. In the first round I want Williams (NT), Odrick (DE), or Haden (CB).

If we don't keep Marshall, then i would say Draft Dez Bryant. But i have now changed my mind on Marshall, gone the full 180.

                          Resign
Marshall 6 year 40 million dollars

Doom 6 year 50 million dollars

Orton let him test the Restricted FA market.

Kuper 6 year 25 million dollars

And then trade down in the draft pick up extra picks. The biggest needs are Center, Guard, NT and ILB.

I dont get how people say he doesn't have elite speed the kid is 6'2" 220lbs and was blowing by everyone, reminds me of bmarsh after the catch with an extra burner or 2. I would love to nab him in the 1st even if we keep marshall. that 3 headed monster would give every d coordinator fits
